Official List of the Largest Companies in the National Territory of Electromechanics Released by Isto É Magazine, Niplan Leads Despite the Crisis
Niplan, with its operational base located in São Paulo and various projects across Brazil, was named by Isto É Magazine as the largest Industrial Assembly company in 2017, leading a list of 20 other companies in the same sector of electromechanical assembly. Even in the face of the crisis that has been affecting the country for some time, it has continued its significant activities and stands out in engineering, unlike many other companies that were seriously harmed by interruptions in Petrobras contracts, which is currently the largest bidder in Latin America.
The truth is that many companies of this type depend on Petrobras in Brazil and for the fourth consecutive year, the annual revenue of these companies has decreased. The mining, cement, and steel industries are also suffering the impacts of the recession at the same pace, especially those that produce raw materials.

In terms of service demand, the metal mining sector contracts more and generates revenue for these companies, followed by the cellulose industry, construction of thermoelectric plants, and construction/modernization of hydropower plants already in operation in Brazil. Together, all these companies in the top 20 had a gross revenue of R$ 4.076 billion last year, which is naturally 29.47% less than in 2016.
