New Nissan Sentra Revealed in Teaser and Promises Unique and Futuristic Design; See Everything That Has Been Disclosed About the Japanese Model Coming to Brazil.
In an effort to maintain brand strength even during a financially challenging time, Nissan announced on Wednesday (26) the launch or update of 14 vehicles over the coming years, in addition to revealing teasers of some of them. One of these vehicles is the new Nissan Sentra. In total, six upcoming models appeared in the company’s global future disclosure.
What Is the Design Like of the New Japanese Model?
In the image, the vehicle catches attention, especially due to the T-shaped LED headlights. Another highlight of the new Nissan Sentra is its silhouette, as both the headlight design and the sedan outline indicate that it will have a more futuristic look, different from what we currently know.
Everything suggests that the new Japanese vehicle will be a mix of the fourth generation Nissan Murano (SUV sold in the US) with the Nissan N7, a type of electric Sentra from China.

With these references, it is expected that the Nissan Sentra will feature a more minimalist design, with minimal grille. Although the image does not confirm, the vehicle’s headlights should also be connected by an LED strip. At the rear, the sedan is also expected to include futuristic elements like interconnected taillights.
Another highlight is expected to be the interior of the new Nissan Sentra, as the N7 features considerable futurism with items such as a 15.6-inch multimedia center and an 8.8-inch digital instrument panel. As for the powertrain, nothing has been disclosed yet, but speculation suggests that the model is expected to provide a hybrid powertrain.
Nissan Car Spotted Testing in Brazil
It’s important to mention that just a few days ago the vehicle was spotted testing in Brazil, still heavily camouflaged. The vehicle will be slightly larger than the current model; however, it will still maintain similar proportions. What the test cars, both in Brazil and in the United States, allowed to see was the lower air intake and the new wheels, which share many slits.
In the grille, they form several Vs, while on the wheels, the bars overlap. The rear spoiler indicates that the model in the photo is a Sentra SR, which offers a more sporty proposition. The US press suggests that the new Nissan Sentra may be equipped with a 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbo engine producing 204 hp, present in the Nissan Rogue.
The engine comes with a constant CVT automatic transmission, a staple in Nissan cars. However, the sedan may retain the naturally aspirated 2.0-liter engine with direct injection, which currently delivers 151 hp. It’s too early to confirm a launch date or say that the new model will only be sold in Brazil with a turbo engine, but this would be a good strategy for the model to stand out in Brazil.
New Nissan Sentra Expected to Arrive This Year in the Automotive Market
The presentation of the new Nissan Sentra 2026 is scheduled for the beginning of the second half, and sales in the United States may start at the end of 2025. In Brazil, however, its launch is expected to happen early next year.
If this timeline is followed, the model will have an advantage over the Toyota Corolla, which is also about to receive a new generation, but is only expected to reach the market in 2026.
The competitor still leads sales in Brazil and offers 2.0 and 1.8 hybrid versions, while the Nissan Sentra 2.0 follows in the ranking, alongside the BYD King plug-in hybrid, while the VW Jetta GLI is the only sporty model and the only turbocharged one.
