The Aeronautics Competition Recruits Cadets of Elementary Level. Those Selected Will Be Prepared to Compete for One of the Openings in the Officer Pilot Training Course (CFOAV)
The Aeronautics is offering positions in its new Competition for Admission to the Preparatory Course for Cadets of the Air, with 140 positions available at the elementary level.
According to the JC Concursos website, to participate in the selection process of the Air Force, it is necessary to have completed elementary education, be between 15 and 18 years old (completed by December 31, 2024), and have a minimum height of 1.64m and a maximum of 1.87m.
The classes for those selected in the Aeronautics competition will be in Barbacena (MG), at the Preparatory School for Cadets of the Air (Epcar). The course will last three years, in a boarding regime, and is equivalent to regular high school, also covering military instructions.

Requirements and Remuneration of the Vacancies of the Aeronautics Competition
As announced in the announcement, to register and participate in the competition for the Air Force, one must have completed elementary education and be between 15 and 18 years old completed by December 31, 2024. Individuals of both sexes can apply, provided they have a minimum height of 1.64m and a maximum of 1.87m.
Participants in the competition receive meals, accommodation, uniforms, and medical and dental assistance, in addition to an initial remuneration of around R$ 1,300.
The Aeronautics competition aims to prepare students to compete for one of the openings in the Officer Pilot Training Course (CFOAV) at the Air Force Academy (AFA), in Pirassununga (SP).
Exams and Registrations for the Aeronautics Competition
The stages of the selection process for the Aeronautics competition are:
- Registrations: from April 4 to 20;
- Request for waiver of the registration fee: from April 4 to 20;
- Payment of the registration fee: until May 4;
- Disclosure of the exam locations: June 15;
- Administration of written tests: July 2;
- Disclosure of the preliminary answer key: July 3;
- Health inspection: from September 19 to October 3;
- Psychological evaluation: from September 21 to October 6;
- Physical test: from November 16 to 20;
- Enrollment and start of the course: January 13, 2024;
Additionally, the administration of the competition exams will take place in the following cities: Belém (PA); Recife (PE); Natal (RN); Salvador (BA); Rio de Janeiro (RJ); Belo Horizonte and Barbacena (MG); São Paulo and Pirassununga (SP); Campo Grande (MS); Porto Alegre (RS); Curitiba (PR); Brasília (DF); Manaus (AM); Boa Vista (RR); Porto Velho (RO).
