Volkswagen Is Preparing Significant Updates for Its SUV Line in Brazil, Bringing Aesthetic and Technological Innovations to Models Like the T-Cross, Tiguan, and a New Sports Member, the Nivus GTS. These Changes Aim to Maintain the Brand’s Competitiveness in the Growing SUV Segment.
After modernizing the Polo and Virtus, Volkswagen is shifting its focus to SUVs in Brazil. This segment, increasingly relevant in the automotive market, will see a series of updates and launches promising to redefine Volkswagen’s quality and performance standards, with models like the T-Cross, Tiguan, and the brand new Nivus.
T-Cross
The T-Cross, one of the best-selling compact SUVs from Volkswagen, recently received a redesign in the European model. The new front grille with Matrix LED lighting and the redesign of the bumpers and taillights give the model a cleaner and more modern look. Internally, the main change is the floating multimedia center, but in Brazil, Volkswagen Play is likely to remain. The body was also enlarged in Europe, but this change is not expected to reach Brazil.
Tiguan
The Volkswagen Tiguan, a seven-seater SUV, had its sales paused but is set to return to the Brazilian market. The model has undergone significant aesthetic and technological changes, including a new grille and lighting. Volkswagen is considering the inclusion of a plug-in hybrid version for the Tiguan, aligning with trends in the larger SUV market.
