Peugeot Recently Unveiled Its Futuristic Electric Car Concept with Over 670 Horsepower Generated by Two Electric Motors. The Model Will Also Have a Range of 800 km.
Peugeot chose the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023 to showcase its new Inception concept. The electric car is packed with cutting-edge technologies, features a futuristic design, and delivers impressive figures. The futuristic car has two electric motors, with one located at the front and another at the rear.
Peugeot’s Electric Car Has a Range of 800 km
The motors deliver about 671 horsepower, with the electric car accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in less than three seconds, according to the French brand. The Peugeot Inception concept can travel up to 800 km on a single charge. Using 800V technology and even wireless charging, the vehicle promises to recover up to 30 km of range in just one minute, or up to 150 km in five minutes.
The front of the model consists of a single piece of glass, featuring the Peugeot logo enlarged in 3D right in the center. The ends showcase new claw-shaped headlights. Peugeot, which is part of the Stellantis Group, describes the look as a new simple and refined design language that will be used in other models starting in 2025.

Honda ends the gasoline era: HR-V 2028 will feature a new 1.5 hybrid engine, greater range, more efficient consumption, AI in Honda Sensing, 360° 3D cameras, advanced semi-autonomous driving, and a new e:HEV system to compete with Chinese SUVs in the global market.

Toyota launches Corolla cheaper than Renault Kwid and Fiat Mobi with a 1.5 engine of 120 hp, 6-speed manual transmission, and a price of R$ 66,000; the sedan for driving schools in Japan also received a 140 hp hybrid version.

Ford launches the new Edge 2027 with a 252 hp 2.0 turbo engine from the Maverick, a 275 hp hybrid version, 7 seats, a 27” screen, premium finish, and a price equivalent to R$ 165,000; less than the Territory in Brazil.

Larger than the Toyota Hilux and with a towing capacity of 3.5 tons, the new MG U9 2026 features a 2.5 turbodiesel engine, 520 Nm, 4×4 traction with three locks, and an almost full-size build.
A bar-shaped screen, similar to that of the first prototype, runs horizontally along the doors and displays data such as the electric car’s battery charge level. To optimize thermal properties, the interior of the futuristic car is essentially a glass capsule treated with metallic oxides, the same ones used in the visors of NASA astronauts. All the fabrics used in the cabin of the futuristic car are made from sustainable materials.
Peugeot Inception Features State-of-the-Art Technologies
A software based on artificial intelligence has been installed by the company to recognize the driver and passengers and adjust comfort settings, such as seat posture, driving mode, temperature, and multimedia preferences as desired by each passenger.
The Hypersquare has a screen that displays the main controls of the electric car, which can be adjusted ergonomically with the thumb, without the need to take hands off the steering wheel. The French automaker claims that it plans to have the technology available in at least one of its cars by the beginning of the next decade.
The futuristic car concept also incorporates Level 4 autonomous driving and represents a shift in Peugeot’s plans, whose goal is to achieve carbon neutrality in its emissions by 2038. To achieve this, the brand will present at least 5 new completely electric cars by 2030.
Manufacturer Also Focuses on the Scooter Market
In addition to electric cars, the company also announced an electric scooter last October. It is worth noting that Peugeot’s history with motorcycles spans several years, even though it is not widely recognized outside Europe.
Thus, the French company launched the e-Streetzone, the second entirely electric scooter manufactured by the brand, during the Paris Motor Show, which took place from October 17 to 23 last year.
At the time, the automaker did not provide details about power, torque, performance, and charging time. The model will be based on the Streetzone scooter, which has a gasoline engine of just 50cc and is intended for short trips.
