Logistics Center Inaugurated in Cuiabá. The SuperFrio Enterprise is Expected to Generate Up to 1000 Jobs by 2023
Last Monday, a new logistics center was inaugurated in the city of Cuiabá. The new refrigerated CL from SuperFrio is seen as the most modern in the state of Mato Grosso. Initially, it will start with a total of 50 job positions, but it is expected to create around one thousand jobs directly by 2023. In addition to the inauguration of the CL, around 100 basic food baskets were donated, helping the city’s most needy families.
Due to the pandemic, the inauguration ceremony was streamed online, featuring the director of Pátria Investimentos, Frederico Barros, along with other notable figures. The expansion director of SuperFrio Logistics emphasizes that the demand for refrigerated logistics was the main reason for choosing MT as the location for the Logistics Center.
“The SuperFrio project starts focused on the storage of corn and soybean seeds, but we do not want to stop there; we want to expand this unit to other sectors of the food chain, in the case of proteins with cattle, fish, and dairy products as well, and in distribution to the city of Cuiabá,” says the director.

SuperFrio Invested in Cuiabá
The mayor of Cuiabá, Emanuel Pinheiro, states that the arrival of SuperFrio in the city is a demonstration of tremendous strength; in addition to receiving investments, it boosts its economy and creates job opportunities in Cuiabá. “The arrival of this enterprise is a meeting with the future, representing a visionary, entrepreneurial Cuiabá that generates jobs,” said Emanuel Pinheiro.
The idea is for the logistics center to offer logistics services to clients in the seed industry. One example will be Bayern, a global giant in the sector, which will concentrate its operations in the state at the new SuperFrio Logistics Center. The location has around 5,000 square meters, with the capacity to accommodate 7,000 pallets, equivalent to 50,000 cubic meters.
The company aims to offer a range of services, such as integrated logistics solutions to its clients in the main food producing and consuming regions of the continent. SuperFrio sees the Cuiabá region as a great opportunity with significant exploration potential. Furthermore, the company is also considering investing in the frozen and refrigerated chambers later this year. This enterprise aims to serve clients in the retail, fast-food, and other food markets.
