At the rear, the interconnected taillights through a horizontal strip reinforce the sense of width and contribute to a more modern appearance.
The proportions remain typical of a medium SUV.

In the mild hybrid Sportage destined for the Brazilian market, the most recent official capacity is 562 liters (VDA standard), a volume obtained with the seats in the normal position.
Hybrid Engine: Differences Between MHEV and HEV
One of the central points of the 2026 line is the mechanical set.
In the international market, the Sportage received an update to the conventional hybrid (HEV) system that combines the 1.6 turbo GDi engine with 179 hp to an electric motor of 87 hp, resulting in a combined power of 239 hp.
This configuration accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in about 8.1 seconds and reaches 196 km/h.
In Brazil, the configuration confirmed for pre-sale is the 48-volt mild hybrid (MHEV), utilizing the same 1.6 T-GDI gasoline engine but focusing on electric assistance rather than traction.
The set delivers 180 hp and 27 kgfm, always paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automated transmission and front-wheel drive.
The MHEV system does not drive the vehicle on its own.
It assists in starts, recovers energy during decelerations, and enables “sailing” mode, turning off the combustion engine under certain conditions to reduce consumption.
Estimated fuel consumptions are around 12.5 km/l in the city and 13.2 km/l on the highway with gasoline.
Safety and Comfort Equipment in the Sportage 2026
The Sportage 2026 maintains a wide range of driving assistants, including automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and 360-degree camera systems.
The SUV also features electronic stability and traction control.

The choice to offer the medium SUV always with some level of hybridization indicates a bet on consumers who wish to reduce consumption without immediately migrating to a 100% electric model.
Availability and Versions for the Brazilian Consumer
Although the 239 hp version remains a global technical reference, the offer in Brazil is concentrated on the 180 hp mild hybrid, with a renewed look, modernized interior, and a trunk capacity of 562 liters.
The model has been promoted in promotional actions with prices close to R$ 267,000 for the EX Prestige version.
