Despite The National Average Registering A Drop Of 1.3%, IBGE Data Reveal Opposite Scenarios In The Industrial Production Of The Country In June 2025.
The national industrial production revealed a scenario of strong contrasts in June 2025. Data from the Monthly Industrial Survey by IBGE show that, while some states experienced significant drops, others recorded robust growth, even with the overall average indicating a retraction.
The analysis, released by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) this Friday (8), indicates that industrial production fell in seven of the 18 locations surveyed, compared to June 2024.
The most intense losses were recorded in Rio Grande do Norte, with a staggering drop of -21.4%. Other states that experienced significant declines include Mato Grosso do Sul (-11.7%), Mato Grosso (-10.8%), and São Paulo (-8.5%). Also on the list of declines are Pará (-3.0%), Rio Grande do Sul (-2.5%), and Ceará (-0.1%).

The States That Grew Against The Trend
Despite the overall negative result, eleven locations rowed against the tide and recorded an increase in production. The standout performer was Espírito Santo, with an impressive jump of 17.4%.
Other states with strong performance were Pernambuco (7.6%), Amazonas (7.2%), and Rio de Janeiro (6.8%). The Northeast region as a whole also grew (4.3%), along with Minas Gerais (3.0%), Paraná (2.8%), Santa Catarina (2.3%), Maranhão (0.9%), Bahia (0.8%), and Goiás (0.1%).
In the final balance, the average national industry contracted 1.3% in June 2025. IBGE emphasizes that the number of working days (20) was the same in June 2024 and 2025, which provides greater accuracy for the comparison.

IBGE é hoje tanto FAKE NEWS quanto a maioria da mídia nacional, infelizmente, vivemos em um navio a deriva.
O presidente do IBGE é o Márcio Pochmann.
