The Vessel Will Provide Services in the States of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Espírito Santo, and Some Places in the Northeast, with Operations That Can Reach Up to 6,000 Meters in Depth
The Island Pride vessel has just arrived in Brazil, the ship was chartered by Cepemar through the company Ocean Infinity for a period of three years. It docked on the 12th, Wednesday, at the Port of Rio de Janeiro. The Island Pride vessel will support Cepemar in acquisition, processing, interpretation, and delivery of products and services related to underwater mapping of natural and artificial obstacles using interferometric sonar, multibeam echosounder (MBES), high-resolution color camera, laser profiler, and shallow seismic (SBP), which are installed on Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) that will operate at depths ranging between 50 and 6,000 meters, in the regions of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Espírito Santo, Abrolhos, and some states in the Northeast. The vessel is equipped with five AUVs and two Schilling HD ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles).
