At 294 Meters Tall, Designed by Italian Fashion House Pininfarina and a List of Famous Residents, the Yachthouse Residence Club is Not Just the Tallest Building in Brazil, but an Icon of the Luxury Market.
In the city with the highest square meter price in Brazil, a skyscraper showdown for the title of tallest in the country has a new champion. The Yachthouse Residence Club, a complex of twin towers in Balneário Camboriú (SC), officially holds the title of tallest building in Brazil, with its impressive height of 294 meters.
Signed by Pininfarina, the same fashion house that designs cars for Ferrari, the project by construction company Pasqualotto & GT is a landmark in engineering and a symbol of the ultra-luxury real estate market. The story of its construction and its rivalry with other giants in the city reveals the ambition that transformed the skyline of Santa Catarina.
The Foundation and Construction of the Tallest Building in Brazil (2012-2014)
The story of the Yachthouse began long before its inauguration. The foundation phase, one of the most complex parts of the work, started in 2012. The project, led by Construtora Pasqualotto & GT, was born with the ambition to be a landmark, featuring the signature of the renowned Italian design studio Pininfarina, famous for its work with brands like Ferrari and Maserati.

The scale of the project became evident in November 2014, when the foundation blocks were concreted. The operation, considered the largest in Brazil at that time, involved 1,100 concrete mixer trucks working continuously to create the base that would support the 81-story towers.
The First Achievement and Rivalry with One Tower (2020-2022)

In 2020, the Yachthouse towers reached a height of 281 meters, becoming the tallest buildings in Brazil. However, the lead was temporary. The rivalry for supremacy on the Balneário Camboriú skyline intensified.
In December 2022, construction company FG Empreendimentos completed its own giant, the One Tower. Standing at 290 meters, it surpassed the Yachthouse and took the title of tallest building in the country, a title that would be validated by international authorities.
The Completion of the Project and Arrival of Residents (2023)
The year 2023 marked the official completion of the Yachthouse complex. With the works finished, the development began welcoming its illustrious residents, further amplifying its fame.
Soccer player Neymar Jr. acquired one of the four quadriplex penthouses of the building, valued at over R$ 60 million. Besides him, other celebrities like singers Luan Santana and Alexandre Pires also became owners of apartments in the complex, solidifying Yachthouse as a celebrity address.
The Retaking of the Title: The Strategic Maneuver of the Pinnacles (2024)

The race for the top was not over. In a strategic maneuver, Pasqualotto & GT decided to install decorative pinnacles at the top of the two towers. The installation, completed in May 2024, raised the final height of the complex to 294.1 meters.
The addition was sufficient to reclaim the title. The new height was validated by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH), the world’s leading authority on skyscraper certification, which updated its ranking and confirmed the Yachthouse by Pininfarina as the new and current tallest building in Brazil.
Yachthouse: Engineering, Luxury, and a New Benchmark
Beyond its height, Yachthouse stands out for its engineering and luxury concept. Its towers were built without masonry, using only concrete and a “glass skin” façade. Its elevators, manufactured by Schindler, are the fastest in Brazil, capable of covering 78 floors in under 50 seconds.
Its greatest differentiator, however, may be the 10,000 m² leisure area, which functions as a private resort. With five pools, a cinema, a restaurant, and a complete health and wellness center, Yachthouse offers a self-sufficient luxury ecosystem for its residents, consolidating itself not only as a height record but as a new paradigm in the Brazilian real estate market.
