Cacau Park Will Feature Immersive Attractions, 120 km/h Roller Coaster, and 55 m High, as Well as Hotels and Restaurants on the Border of Itu and Sorocaba
Brazil is about to gain the largest theme park in Latin America. According to the portal Gazeta de São Paulo, the construction of “Cacau Park – The Fantastic Happiness Factory” began in the city of Itu, in the interior of São Paulo.
The venture belongs to Cacau Show and promises to become one of the largest entertainment centers in the region.
Roller Coaster Under Construction
One of the major attractions of the new park will be the Ghost Rider, a roller coaster announced as the largest and fastest in Latin America. According to information released by the company, the attraction will be 55 meters tall and can reach speeds of up to 120 km/h.

Images taken last Sunday (6/15) by drone cameraman Cleberson Bazotti show the start of the structure’s construction. The project stands out for its size and is expected to be one of the park’s main attractions.
Vast Area and Billion-Dollar Investment
Cacau Park will have approximately 900,000 square meters of built area, equivalent to about 56 soccer fields. The park will be built on an area of around seven million square meters, located on the border between Itu and Sorocaba.
The estimated investment is R$ 2 billion. According to Cacau Show, the space will host not only rides but also restaurants, two hotels, immersive areas, and a boulevard called City Walk.
The project is ambitious and, according to the company, is expected to take three years to complete. The forecast is that it will generate about 2,000 direct and indirect jobs.
Controversies Involving the Company
Despite the progress of the construction, Cacau Show has faced problems outside the construction sites. The Public Labor Ministry (MPT) received complaints from former employees reporting cases of moral harassment, homophobia, and fatphobia in the corporate environment.
The complaints also mention the holding of mystical rituals within the company. The information was disclosed through the profile “Doce Amargura,” created by workers to expose situations experienced in the company.
Announcement and Expectations
The official announcement of Cacau Park was made in December of last year, at a press conference at the Palácio dos Bandeirantes. The company confirmed this week that construction is following the planned schedule.
With expectations of surpassing attractions like Hopi Hari and Beto Carrero, the park is expected to become a new tourist spot in the state. The promise is to offer immersive experiences and large-scale entertainment.
