OceanPact, a renowned Brazilian company specialized in environmental solutions, underwater services, and logistical support, achieved another victory by winning a bidding process and signing a contract with Petrobras. The agreement, valued at around R$ 485 million, was sealed for conducting anchoring inspections in FPSOs (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) and semi-submersible platforms of Petrobras, covering activities until the year 2026.
Anchoring Inspections in FPSOs and Semi-Submersible Platforms Until 2026
The significant amount of the contract is the result of a competitive process in which OceanPact’s proposal stood out.
The mission involves a thorough inspection of the anchoring systems of platforms, covering approximately 1,500 kilometers of mooring lines and 600 links.

Meet the Austral Abrolhos and the Work Class ROV Used in Operations
To conduct these complex operations, OceanPact will rely on the Austral Abrolhos, a state-of-the-art MPSV (Multi-Purpose Support Vessel).
Equipped with a Work Class remotely operated vehicle (ROV) manufactured by the Norwegian company Kystdesign, capable of operating at depths of up to 3,000 meters, the Austral Abrolhos is ideal for underwater activities.
Additionally, the vessel has a crane capable of operations up to 2,000 meters deep, providing efficiency and versatility during inspections.
The contract signed with Petrobras reinforces OceanPact’s competence and its essential contribution to the safety and efficiency of offshore operations, further strengthening its presence in the national and international scenario.
