Petrobras Awards The Best Supplier Companies During OTC Brazil

Petrobras held an awards ceremony for the best supplier companies during OTC Brazil, an event that took place in Rio de Janeiro. The state-owned company recognized 23 companies that stood out in various categories, as well as awarding eight companies for their commitment to ESG practices (environmental, social, and governance). The awards considered criteria such as quality, deadline, management, HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment), compliance and integrity, in addition to alignment with social and environmental practices.

The Director of Engineering, Technology, and Innovation at Petrobras, Carlos Travassos, congratulated the awarded companies, stating that they demonstrated excellence in serving Petrobras. He emphasized the importance of qualified partners who are close to the company’s operations and invited everyone, whether awarded or not, to participate in Petrobras’ promising future.

What Were The Categories Awarded By Petrobras?

Companies were awarded in 21 categories, including subsea systems, umbilicals, flexible pipes, anchoring equipment, flexible line deployment, operations of offshore rigs, drilling and completion equipment, drilling and completion services, offshore engineering works, onshore engineering works, air logistics, maritime logistics, land logistics, urban mobility, infrastructure and multi-services, industrial maintenance, chemicals, large machines and associated services, maintenance, repairs and operations, associated services, seismic data services, and information technology services.

Additionally, special awards were given in the areas of environment, safety, health, innovation, research and development, quality management, human rights, governance, and decarbonization. The award is a recognition of suppliers that excelled both in their categories and in actions aligned with Petrobras’ strategic objectives, such as ESG issues, environmental concerns, safety, and quality.

The Executive Manager of Supplies at Petrobras, Marina Quinderé, highlighted the importance of partnership with suppliers and the awards as a way to recognize the joint work in achieving the company’s objectives.

During the awards, suppliers also participated in lectures on HSE, integrity, financial solutions for the supply chain, and energy transition. These lectures included representatives from Petrobras and BNDES.

The Best Suppliers Award was the highlight of Petrobras’ actions during the OTC Brazil Conference. At the event, several technical lectures were held at the Supplier Space, at the company’s booth. In addition, there was also the “Pitch Day,” where winning suppliers had the opportunity to present their success stories.

Petrobras reaffirms its commitment to recognizing and valuing the best suppliers, highlighting their importance for the company’s success. The partnership with qualified and committed suppliers is essential to achieving Petrobras’ strategic objectives, especially regarding energy transition and the search for sustainable solutions.
