Electrical Technician – Rio de Janeiro

Responsibilities

Comply with the instructions in the “Standing Orders of the Chief Engineer”;
Keep all electrical and lighting devices and installations functioning properly;
Immediately report any irregularities observed during inspection to the duty officer in the Engine Room;
Assist the Chief Engineer in controlling the inventory of spare parts for electrical materials and equipment;
Check if new equipment installed on board is compatible with the onboard power supply; etc.

Job Requirements

Technician in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or similar course.
Intermediate English
Desirable experience on AHTS, PLSV vessels, or more modern vessels
CBSP Certificate
Desirable NR-33 Certificates (minimum 16h), NR-35, CERR, CESS
