More Divestments from Petrobras: The Oil Company Announced Last Night (27/10) the Sale of Its Entire Stake in Petrochemical in Bahia.
The Petrobras reported yesterday (27/10), in a relevant fact to the Market, that it has begun the opportunity disclosure stage (teaser) regarding the sale of its entire equity stake, corresponding to 50% of the voting capital and 34.54% of the total capital, in the company METANOR – Metanol do Nordeste (Metanor), headquartered in Camaçari, in the state of Bahia.
According to Petrobras’ announcement, the teaser, which contains the main information about the opportunity, as well as the eligibility criteria for selecting potential participants, is available on the company’s website, AT THIS LINK.
“The main subsequent steps of the project will be communicated to the market in due time”, said the state-owned company.

Petrobras reported in May of This Year that it completed the sale of its entire stake in fourteen onshore exploration and production fields, known as Polo Recôncavo, located in the state of Bahia, to 3R Candeias, previously referred to as Ouro Preto Energia Onshore, a wholly owned subsidiary of 3R Petroleum.
According to Petrobras’ announcement, the total sale value was US$ 256 million (approximately R$ 1.279 billion), with (a) US$ 10 million paid at the signing of the contract on 17/12/2020 and (b) US$ 246 million paid today, already considering the adjustments provided for in the contract.
“Petrobras continues to focus its resources on deep and ultra-deep water assets, where it has demonstrated a significant competitive advantage over the years, with lower greenhouse gas emissions”, said the oil company.
