Innovative Installation at the Brotas de Macaúbas Wind Complex
Statkraft, a global leader in hydropower and the largest renewable energy producer in Europe, announces a strategic partnership with WEG S.A., a reference in electromechanical technology. This union aims to install the AGW172/7.X wind turbine, with a capacity of 7MW, at the Brotas de Macaúbas Wind Complex in Bahia. This equipment, the result of WEG’s collaboration with Petrobras, will be the largest onshore wind turbine ever developed and manufactured in Brazil. The giant of renewable energy is expected to enter operation in the second half of 2024.

This pioneering project is seen as a milestone for both Statkraft and WEG, paving the way for new business opportunities in Brazil and abroad.
