Residents of cities in the state of São Paulo with Petrobras operations have more time to compete for free vacancies in in-person industrial qualification courses at SENAI-SP with a monthly scholarship payment.
The extension of the enrollment deadline was formalized in a correction of the notice for the Autonomy and Income Petrobras Program, an initiative carried out in partnership with Firjan SESI and SENAI-SP, and provides a benefit of R$ 660 per month for participants with regular attendance, as well as R$ 858 monthly for women with children up to 11 years and 11 months.
The offer seeks to expand employment opportunities in regions connected to the company’s activities, prioritizing people without formal work ties and in a situation of socioeconomic vulnerability.

The proposal combines free professional qualification with financial support during the training period, a strategy pointed out by Petrobras itself as essential to reduce dropout rates and facilitate students’ retention in courses.
Autonomy and Income Petrobras Program and Focus on Employability
The Autonomy and Income Petrobras Program brings together professional training actions focused on the industrial sector, addressing real market demands.
The notices provide for qualification courses and initial and continuing education, offered in partnership with institutions of the S System.
In the case of the notice intended for the state of São Paulo, the classes are in-person and take place at SENAI-SP units located in municipalities strategic for the company’s operations.
The initiative also adopts affirmative action policies, reserving vacancies for groups considered priority, such as women, black and mixed-race individuals, people with disabilities, indigenous people, quilombolas, transgender individuals, refugees, and migrants.

Free Courses Offered by SENAI-SP
The notice covers courses focused on common activities in construction, industrial maintenance, and productive environments.
Among the planned training are:
- Boilermaker
- Scaffolder
- Welder in Electrode Process
- Building Maintenance Assistant
- Refractory Mason
- Signal Man
The classes will be held at SENAI-SP units in the municipalities of São José dos Campos, Paulínia, Cubatão, Mauá, and Santo André.
There are classes offered in the morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, according to each school’s organization and course availability.
Monthly Scholarship and Payment Conditions
The scholarship payment is conditioned on enrollment and regular attendance in classes.
The standard monthly amount is R$ 660, paid directly to the student during the course period.
For women with children up to 11 years and 11 months, the notice establishes an expanded scholarship of R$ 858 monthly, as a way to encourage mothers to stay in school.
The regulations stipulate that the benefit is individual and paid into a bank account in the participant’s name.
The notice also advises that the account must not have restrictions for receiving funds, in order to avoid problems with the scholarship payment.
Requirements to Participate in the Selection
To compete for vacancies, the candidate must be at least 18 years old.
It is also necessary to meet the educational requirements for the chosen course.
Another criterion is to prove a family income per capita of up to half the minimum wage.
The candidate must reside in the cities where courses are offered or in areas covered by Petrobras operations in the state of São Paulo.
Income verification occurs at the enrollment stage, through self-declaration and presentation of documents outlined in the notice.
Among the accepted documents are proofs of registration in CadÚnico, when available, or others indicated by the selection rules.
Electronic Draw Defines Selected Individuals
The selection process does not require a knowledge test.
The classification of candidates will be done by electronic draw, respecting the percentages of vacancies reserved for affirmative actions and for low-income and unemployed categories.
According to the notice, the draw is conducted on an auditable technological platform, with criteria of transparency and equality of conditions among the applicants.
After the draw, the selected individuals are called for enrollment according to the official schedule.
Extended Enrollment and Guidance for Candidates
With the correction of the notice, the enrollment has been extended and can be done until December 29, 2025.
The entire process is free and takes place online, through the official website of the Autonomy and Income Petrobras Program.
The participating SENAI-SP units can also guide candidates who have difficulty accessing digital tools, respecting the service hours of each school.
