Petrobras is planning a return to the fertilizer sector in partnership with Unigel Participações S.A. It is worth remembering that Unigel is the current operator of the Fertilizer Factories (Fafen) located in Bahia and Sergipe, which were leased by Petrobras in 2020, according to the PetroNotícias website.

This initiative marks a strategic move by Petrobras to expand its operations in the fertilizer sector, leveraging Unigel’s expertise in this field. The partnership aims to explore development opportunities in fertilizers, which play a crucial role in the agricultural industry, as well as projects related to green hydrogen and low-carbon technologies, aligned with global efforts to combat climate change.
