Petrobras informed in a relevant fact this morning, January 29, that it identified the presence of hydrocarbon in a pioneering oil well in block C-M-411, located in the pre-salt of the Campos Basin, in the State of Rio de Janeiro. Hydrocarbons are compounds formed solely by carbon and hydrogen, with the main source in nature being oil.
The well 1-BRSA-1377-RJS, informally named Urissanê, is located approximately 200 km off the coast, in a water depth of 2,950 meters, which confirmed the presence of oil in reservoirs of the pre-salt section.

Block C-M-411 Oil Block in the Pre-Salt of the Campos Basin
Block C-M-411 was acquired in September 2017, in the 14th Bidding Round of the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), under a concession regime, along with blocks C-M-210, C-M-277, C-M-344, C-M-346, and C-M-413.
Petrobras is the operator of the block and holds a 50% stake, in partnership with ExxonMobil Exploração Brasil Ltda. (50%).
