The auction held by the National Agency of Oil, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) on the morning of Wednesday, 13, resulted in the acquisition of two blocks in the SP-AUP8 sector for a total of R$ 4.34 million, without a premium, during the 4th Cycle Of The Permanent Offer In The Concession Regime. The consortium formed by Petrobras (PETR4; 50%), Shell Brasil (30%), and CNOCC Petroleum (20%) was the winner of block P-M-1797, acquiring it for R$ 2.17 million.
This auction represents an important step for the oil and gas sector, demonstrating companies’ interest in investing in the Brazilian market. The acquisition of blocks P-M-1797 and P-M-1799 reinforces the relevance of the auction promoted by ANP, mobilizing millions of reais in investments in the sector. Specifically in the concession regime within the Permanent Offering, 104 companies are eligible to participate, but only 25 of them submitted expressions of interest and guarantees of bids for the 39 sectors at stake this Wednesday, which encompass a total of 722 blocks.
