BW Offshore said on Saturday (06) that the agreed extension with Petrobras will be for 120 days and that the contract would expire on October 9, 2020. This extension followed from the end of April, when the contract for the FPSO was extended for 48 days and was set to end on Thursday, June 11, 2020.

BW Offshore added that its previously announced plan for the demobilization of the unit and temporary installation in Brazil was underway.

The BW Cidade de São Vicente was converted by Keppel in 2009. The oil production capacity of the FPSO is 30,000 bbl with a storage capacity of 470,000 bbl. The vessel has been operating for Petrobras offshore Brazil since its delivery.
It is worth noting that Cidade de São Vicente was used as a well test facility on several Brazilian assets.
The unit is currently working on the Farfan discovery, located in block BM-SEAL-11 in deep waters, in the Sergipe-Alagoas basin. The long-term test of Farfan began in late February and is expected to last 180 days.
If this schedule is respected, the FPSO is expected to complete the work on Farfan by the end of August.
