Company from Rio de Janeiro now offers environmental sanitization, industrial cleaning, maintenance and repair services for diverse segments, including hospitals, airports, offshore platforms, ports, and vessels
Rio de Janeiro, October 2022 – With over 10 years in the market providing high-criticality services, Petrogotas, a Brazilian company operating in the maintenance and repair sector for the oil and gas industry and industrial cleaning, seeks to expand its client base, currently composed mainly of multinationals, some of which have offshore units (oil platforms), through the enhancement of specialized services.
In 2021, the company recorded R$ 15 million in revenue, equivalent to 80% growth, due to the provision of services focused on sanitization and decontamination of surfaces. “Right at the beginning of the pandemic, we noticed the demand from companies, both national and international, regarding the sanitization of environments. At that time, we optimized our entire operation so that this service could be provided quickly and efficiently, which brought us great results last year,” says João Paulo Gorni, founder and director of Petrogotas.
In this context, the executive emphasizes the importance of being attentive to market demands so that, when possible, the business can be reassessed, allowing for operations in new areas, but without compromising the essential matter, which, in Petrogotas’ case, is safety. The company has gone 5730 days without accidents, has provided over 3,000 services, and holds more than 10 certifications, including the operational license from the State Institute of the Environment (Inea) and the Operating Authorization (AFE) from Anvisa to operate in surface decontamination fronts in ports, airports, waterways, border posts, and customs areas.

As a way to continue the company’s growth, João Paulo Gorni highlights that the company has been investing heavily in its facilities, such as the construction of a new building of approximately 1800 m² in the São José do Barreto neighborhood in Macaé, Rio de Janeiro, as well as in acquiring new equipment and training its employees.
Focus on the Oil and Gas Sector
With services catering to condominiums, residences, supermarkets, clinics, hospitals, laboratories, commerce, airports, among various other segments, Petrogotas aims to expand its operations within the oil and gas sector. The company already has a massive presence in ports, offshore platforms, and vessels.
For this sector, the main services provided are maintenance and repair: instrumentation, welding, painting, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic services; cleaning and maintenance in tanks and ships: cargo, ballast, sewage, potable and seawater; general equipment: pumps, heat exchangers, valves; and renovation of buildings.
“We have an experienced team and modern equipment that allow us to aim for a massive presence in the oil and gas sector, while, of course, we continue to provide services to other sectors with the same efficiency as always,” he emphasizes.
