The selection of candidates will be conducted through a single stage of Curriculum Analysis, as detailed in the IFPA Public Notice, with applications open until November 22, 2025.
The free specialization course is a crucial opportunity for professionals from all knowledge areas seeking to deepen their knowledge and qualify for teaching in the Professional, Scientific, and Technological Education sector. In addition to offering 20 positions for General Competition, the IFPA Public Notice allocates 50% of the spots (20) for affirmative actions, benefiting black (African descent), indigenous, people with disabilities (PwDs), and quilombola individuals, reinforcing the institution’s inclusive character.
Who Can Apply and What is the Course Objective?

How is the Registration and Selection Process?
The registration for the Selection Process of IFPA is conducted in a single stage and must be done exclusively via email. Interested parties must send the complete documentation in a single PDF file to the email address posepct.cda@ifpa.edu.br, identifying the file with the candidate’s full name. It is crucial to check the list of required documents, which includes the Curriculum Registration Form (Annex II), copies of the Identity Card and CPF, the Curriculum Lattes with the appropriate proof of degrees, and, for those who have it, a declaration of professional activity.
The IFPA Public Notice 011/2025 is clear: the selection of approved candidates will occur solely through Curriculum Analysis, which is classificatory and eliminatory. This analysis, according to Table II of the Public Notice, assigns points for various aspects, such as higher degrees (PhD is worth 20 points), holding a Licentiate degree (20 points), time of service in the education area (up to 24 points), and participation in teaching competitions, teaching projects, or courses in the area. The final result will be the sum of the points obtained in the analysis.
Affirmative Actions and Hetero-Identification Procedure
As mentioned, 20 of the 40 positions are reserved for candidates from affirmative actions (black, indigenous, PwDs, and quilombola individuals), adhering to Resolution No. 173/2016-CONSUP. The IFPA Public Notice states that candidates applying for these positions will compete concurrently for both their category spots and General Competition positions, according to their classification. The self-declaration for these slots is the responsibility of the candidate.
A point to note is the hetero-identification procedure, which will be conducted according to Resolution No. 732/2022 – IFPA/CONSUP. Candidates who self-declare as black (African descent), quilombolas, or indigenous and are summoned must attend the in-person procedure for phenotypic criterion evaluation. Candidates whose self-declarations are deemed invalid, or who miss the procedure, will only compete for general competition spots.
