On Monday (18), the Municipal Secretariat of Work and Income (SMTE) announced a total of 1,044 job openings in the city of Rio de Janeiro, open to both regular workers and people with disabilities.
One of the highlights among the opportunities in RJ is the hiring of 21 production assistants for a factory located in Bangu, where no prior experience is required and there is the possibility of hiring even for those who have not completed elementary education.
The available positions cover various professional segments and are directed towards candidates with experience as well as those entering the job market. In total, there are 652 openings for general workers and 392 for people with disabilities. Among the opportunities offered, notable positions include pastry chef, mechanical lathe operator, clinical laboratory technician, emergency mechanic, legal assistant (for law graduates), warehouse clerk, mold designer, among others.
Everton Gomes, municipal secretary of Work and Income, emphasized the importance of strengthening the industry for the expansion of the job market, highlighting that this sector offers opportunities for both qualified professionals and those seeking their first placement. According to 2022 data from the National Confederation of Industry, the industry pays salaries that can be 28% higher than the average for workers with a completed higher education and 13% for those with a high school education.

How to Apply
Those interested in the job openings can apply online, without the need for a code to fill out the form. For those without internet access, there is the option of in-person registration at one of the seven Central Worker posts, distributed in different regions of the city.
Candidates must present ID, CPF, PIS, and a resume at the time of registration. For people with disabilities, there is the option to send the resume by email or to visit the Integrated Worker Support Center (CIAD).
The SMTE is responsible for the job bank of the City Hall of Rio de Janeiro, having over 400,000 resumes from various profiles. Companies looking to find candidates can register to access this bank for free.
