The Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA) has released new estimates for the pork market in 2025. The projection indicates a production that could reach 5.42 million tons, which represents growth of up to 2.2% compared to the previous year.
The movement confirms the trend of stability with slight advancement in the sector, reflecting both the domestic scenario and global demand.
Projections for 2026 Show Continuation of Increase
The sector is not expected to stop in 2025. For 2026, the ABPA forecasts that production could reach up to 5.55 million tons of pork. This means an annual increase of up to 2.4%.

Exports at Accelerated Pace

For 2026, expectations are even higher, with the possibility of exporting up to 1.55 million tons, which would mean an increase of up to 7% compared to the previous period.
This result reinforces the strength of Brazilian pork in major international markets.
Internal Consumption Expected to Remain Stable
While export numbers are growing, internal consumption of pork remains stable.
The forecast for 2025 is a per capita consumption of up to 18.7 kilograms, practically the same level recorded in 2024.
By 2026, the estimate is for up to 18.8 kilograms per person, remaining close to the current average.
Protein Availability in the Brazilian Market
When it comes to the availability of pork for the domestic market, the projection indicates that the country will have up to 3.97 million tons in 2025. This number shows stability compared to 2024.
For 2026, the estimate is that supply could reach up to 4 million tons, ensuring the supply of the national market even with the increase in exports.
