Which One Has The Best Range, Performance And Onboard Technology To Help You Make Your Purchase Decision.
Frankly, acquiring both is suggested, but the Bolt offers more than the e-2008 GT. Even though it is more expensive, it will provide a feeling of range and slightly better performance from the 203hp engine.
To experience a high-level electric car, the e-2008 GT from Peugeot would already be an excellent option, even with the clear advantage of Chevrolet in some aspects. Additionally, the French SUV will continue to be available in the market, while the American vehicle is expected to be phased out here until it receives the new generation, scheduled for 2024.
The Chevrolet Bolt, one of the oldest vehicles in the electric car segment, remains a good option, especially after its update. With good range, performance and equipment, the emissions-free SUV improves compared to the Bolt EV and manages to compete with more modern projects, such as the Peugeot e-2008 GT.

Chevrolet Bolt EUV: 23 Points
Peugeot e-2008 GT: 21 Points
Comparison: Chevrolet Bolt EUV vs. Peugeot e-2008 GT
The Peugeot e-2008 GT is, additionally, a quite safe car, although the Bolt EUV slightly surpasses it.
The Chevrolet Bolt EUV offers greater range, power and equipment compared to the Peugeot e-2008 GT, but it is also significantly more expensive. At the time of publication of this comparison, the GM model is available for R$ 279,990, while the Peugeot, in a promotional offer, is priced at R$ 209,990, **resulting from the entry of Chinese electric vehicles into the Brazilan market**.
When analyzing both vehicles, we see that they both have excellent safety features. However, the advanced connectivity and services offered by the My Chevrolet app and OnStar make the Bolt EUV a more attractive option. The vehicle’s remote monitoring and assistance available through the concierge in emergencies are significant advantages offered by GM’s model. Furthermore, the highlight of the Chevrolet Bolt EUV also extends to the presence of 10 standard airbags, making it the car with the most airbags available in the Brazilan market.
What will distinguish the models, however, is the entertainment and information system, which is significantly better in the Bolt. The Chevrolet vehicle features a 10-inch screen, just like the Peugeot, but with higher resolution, a more agile system, and the inclusion of native 4G, in addition to the OnStar concierge service. In the Bolt, it is also possible to install the Amazon Alexa assistant, as well as native apps, including Spotify.
Stellantis plans to update the Peugeot e-2008 GT with the company’s connectivity package, already present in models from Jeep, Fiat and RAM. However, until that happens, the Bolt maintains the advantage in terms of technology.
The Chevrolet Bolt EUV, on the other hand, shows significantly superior performance. Its front electric motor offers 203hp and 36.7 kgf/m of torque. When accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h, the car reaches this speed in just 7.7 seconds, which is a small difference compared to the Bolt EV, which reaches the same speed in 7.3 seconds.
With two technologically advanced products, the choice between the Bolt EUV and the Peugeot e-2008 GT will be determined by the details. Both vehicles come with a complete ADAS package, which includes front collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot alert, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning with correction, traffic sign reader, and a 360º camera to assist in maneuvers.
Comparison Between Chevrolet Bolt EUV And Peugeot e-2008 GT
In this case, the victory goes to the Bolt EUV without difficulties.
Here, in addition to the clipboard, we will use our experience of usage. The Peugeot e-2008 has the same powertrain as the e-208, meaning a front electric motor of 136hp and 26.5 kgf/m of torque, enough to take the SUV from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.9s. In practice, the car performs reasonably well, but we noticed that in some situations it lacks a bit of power, as it is heavier than the hatch.
The conclusion of this situation results in a Peugeot e-2008 GT with a dynamic behavior similar to that of a hatch, demonstrating greater steering precision compared to the Bolt. Meanwhile, the Chevrolet model, although enjoyable to drive, proves to be more unstable in curves, not fully taking advantage of its engine’s potential.
Let’s go to the numbers. The Chevrolet Bolt EUV has a 66 kWh battery, resulting in a range of 456km on the WLTP cycle. This range can be even greater with the use of the SUV‘s regenerative system, considered one of the best on the market. The Peugeot e-2008 GT, in turn, has a set of cells of 50 kWh, providing a range of 345km, also on the standard European cycle.
The Peugeot e-2008 GT received 3 points, while the Chevrolet Bolt EUV received 2 points. In this analysis, the suspension plays a crucial role, along with the calibration of the electric steering. The e-CMP platform is a variation of the excellent CMP platform, specifically designed for electric vehicles of the former PSA Group, now part of Stellantis. Completely modular, this more advanced structure allowed a more precise adjustment not only in the course of the dampers and in the suspension itself, but also an improved implementation of the electric steering.
So, what might decide the outcome of this competition is the suspension tuning. The Bolt has a slightly more flexible suspension than the e-2008, which results in more road impact in the cabin, something typical of American cars. On the other hand, the French model is not rigid, but it is a bit firmer than its competitor, providing a more pleasant and comfortable ride. Therefore, by a narrow margin, the victory goes to the Peugeot.
Comparison of Finishing and Comfort Between The Bolt And Alfa Cars
The Bolt car utilizes a more sober and modern design, with straight lines and a variety of soft materials present in the doors, console, dashboard and seats, which harmonize with the technological features present in the cabin.
However, even with the distinct characteristics, the quality of the finishing of both cars appears to be balanced, reflecting in a tie with a score of 3 points for each.
In the evaluation of comfort, in addition to the measurements, the practical experience with both vehicles is also taken into consideration. The Bolt is 6 millimeters longer (4,306mm compared to 4,300mm) and 7cm longer in wheelbase (2.67m compared to 2.60m) compared to the Alfa. However, in practical experience, the interior space of both SUVs is quite similar. Even the reporter, at 1.85m tall, did not face difficulties occupying the back seat of either vehicle, favoring the living conditions inside the cabin.
Comfort and finishing are important aspects to consider when choosing a vehicle, and the detailed analysis contributes to a more informed decision.
On the side, the grooves give a sense of greater dimension than the SUV itself, while the rear part combines the taillights with the characteristic shiny black piece, which stands out impressively.
Both the Peugeot and Chevrolet could be considered premium vehicles based on their finishing. The Peugeot, in particular, has maintained all the aesthetics we know from the e-208, with high-quality materials covering the dashboard and seats, especially Alcantara, a type of Italian suede widely used in today’s cars.
The Bolt EUV wins 3 points for first place, while the second place with a slight disadvantage receives 2 points and the absolute second place earns 1 point. Even though the Bolt EUV was launched after the re-styling of the line, making the car more attractive, the Peugeot e-2008 GT surpasses it due to the visual identity of the current generation of the SUV, which follows the style of the Peugeot 208. The optical set features the characteristic signature of saber teeth, along with the 3D grille and a more muscular silhouette.
The site Canaltech conducted a comparative analysis between two SUVs electric, highlighting the best among them. To reach this conclusion, important criteria were considered, such as:
Design, finishing, comfort, drivability, range, performance, connectivity, technology, safety and cost-benefit.
The scoring will follow the following pattern:
