The opportunities cover the regions of Greater Recife, Zona da Mata, Agreste, and Sertão, and are available for integrated high school technical courses, subsequent technical courses, and undergraduate programs.

Applications have been open since May 20th and can be submitted until June 5th, exclusively online.

To participate, candidates must fill out the online form and attach the documents required by the notice, which is available on the official IFPE website.

According to the document, students in situations of social vulnerability may request a waiver of the application fee, following the established criteria.

The fee must be paid by June 6th and can be made via Pix or credit card, with the amount varying according to the type of course chosen: R$ 30 for integrated high school courses, R$ 50 for undergraduate courses, and R$ 10 for subsequent technical courses.

Technical and Higher Education Courses with Open Slots

Among the technical options offered are courses in highly demanded areas such as nursing, occupational safety, gastronomy, construction, visual arts, and mechanics.

For undergraduate programs, IFPE offers opportunities in exact sciences, including technology in systems analysis and development, a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, and a teaching degree in computer science.

The selection process for undergraduate and integrated high school courses will include essay and objective questions, while for subsequent technical courses, selection will be made through analysis of the candidate’s school performance, valuing the academic record.

According to the notice published by IFPE, the registration cards, containing the locations where the tests will be held, will be available on June 27th.

The assessments will take place on July 6th, and the final results will be announced on the 27th of the same month, allowing accepted candidates to prepare for the beginning of classes in the second semester.

Slots Distributed in Various Cities in Pernambuco

The distribution of slots by city is also extensive, covering both the capital and various cities in the interior of Pernambuco, expanding access to technical and higher education in several regions.

For integrated high school technical courses, there are slots available in Pesqueira and Recife.

In undergraduate programs, opportunities are concentrated in Afogados da Ingazeira, Belo Jardim, Cabo de Santo Agostinho, Garanhuns, Ipojuca, Jaboatão dos Guararapes, Palmares, and Paulista.

Subsequent technical courses are available in an even larger list of municipalities, including Abreu e Lima, Afogados da Ingazeira, Barreiros, Belo Jardim, Cabo de Santo Agostinho, Caruaru, Garanhuns, Igarassu, Ipojuca, Jaboatão dos Guararapes, Olinda, Palmares, Paulista, Recife, Vitória de Santo Antão, and even Fernando de Noronha.

Commitment to Education and the Job Market

This wide range of options from IFPE reflects the institution’s commitment to democratizing access to technical and higher education in Pernambuco, boosting professional and technological training in the state.

Moreover, IFPE has invested in innovative methodologies and modern infrastructure to ensure the quality of education and the integration of students into the job market, aligning its courses with regional economic demands.

According to education specialists, technical and technological courses have been gaining traction in Brazil due to the speed of students’ entry into the job market and the appreciation of practical skills that companies seek.

With this robust offering of slots, IFPE also contributes to reducing educational inequalities, especially in regions farther away from major urban centers, providing opportunities for young people seeking qualification at no cost.

Candidate Profiles and Opportunities

For those wishing to apply, it is essential to pay attention to deadlines and required documents, as well as to check the criteria for fee exemption, which may facilitate access for many candidates.

By offering integrated high school technical courses, subsequent technical courses, and undergraduate programs, IFPE caters to different profiles of students, from those seeking to begin technical training alongside high school to those who have already completed that stage and wish to specialize.

With more than 2,000 free slots available, IFPE reaffirms its role as one of the leading vocational training institutions in the Northeast, preparing professionals for strategic sectors of the economy, such as health, technology, industry, and services.
