Distance Specialization for Physical Educators
UEL has launched a new postgraduate Lato Sensu program in Inclusive Physical Education, intended for teachers who wish to expand their pedagogical skills.
The course, 100% free, will be offered in the Distance Education (EAD) modality, via the Moodle platform, and will have support from specialized tutors.
In addition, there will be mandatory in-person meetings, held at regional centers distributed throughout Paraná.
Course Duration and Structure
According to Public Notice No. 011/2025, the specialization has a total workload of 390 hours, with 60 hours dedicated to integrating pedagogical practices, spread over the three semesters of the course.
The expected duration is 18 months, and the best part: the completion of a Final Paper (TCC) will not be required, which can facilitate completion for many professionals.
To ensure good performance in the specialization, students will need to dedicate at least 10 hours per week to academic activities, which include reading educational materials, participating in forums, and completing evaluative activities.
Where Will the Spots Be Available?
UEL has made 150 spots available for this specialization, distributed across 10 regional centers in Paraná.
Interested candidates must choose a center at the time of application, as that will be where the mandatory in-person activities will take place.
However, the opening of classes will depend on the full enrollment of spots in each unit.

Who Can Apply?
The specialization is exclusively aimed at Physical Education professionals, especially those working in basic education or in institutions that serve people with disabilities.
Here are the main criteria:
✔️ Graduates in Physical Education with a diploma recognized by MEC;
✔️ Teachers of basic education (early childhood, elementary, and high school);
✔️ Teachers working in inclusive physical education in specialized institutions.
How Will Candidates Be Selected?
The selection process will be conducted exclusively through document analysis, meaning there will be no tests or interviews.
Classification will be based on the following criteria:
1️⃣ Correct submission of the required documentation;
2️⃣ Evaluation of the documented curriculum;
3️⃣ Priority for public network teachers;
4️⃣ Teachers directly working with people with disabilities;
5️⃣ Private school teachers.
In case of a tie, criteria such as length of experience in public service, length of academic formation, and age of the candidate will be considered.
