Imagine being able to choose from several options of technical and undergraduate courses, all offered by one of the most respected institutions in Brazil, a Federal Institute.
The Federal Institute of Minas Gerais (IFMG) has opened registrations for the selection process for 2025 with an impressive offer: there are 4,665 places available across integrated technical courses, subsequent technical courses, and undergraduate courses. This is your chance to join an institution of excellence and begin a successful professional journey.
How to Secure Your Place: Registration Fees and Deadlines
Those interested in the integrated technical courses should pay attention to the registration fee, which is R$60. However, for those opting for the subsequent technical courses or undergraduate programs, the fee is even more accessible: R$30.
And there’s more: if you make the payment in advance by September 9, you can take advantage of a discount, paying only R$50 for the integrated courses and R$20 for the other courses.

The payment slip can be paid until October 8 at any bank branch, lottery outlet, or post office.
But pay attention: don’t leave it to the last minute! After the slip is issued, you must wait 2 hours to make the payment. And keep the receipt safe; it will be essential in case there is any issue with processing the payment.
Fee Waiver: A Benefit That Could Be Yours
The IFMG has introduced an important new feature for those wishing to apply for the fee waiver.
Starting this year, income verification will be done exclusively through the Single Registration (CadÚnico). This change promises to simplify the process and ensure more transparency in candidate selection.
Applicants have until September 13 to apply for the waiver, using the application system for the selection process.
Simply fill out the Application Form in the “fee waiver” menu and attach the necessary documents. It is crucial to read the notices carefully to understand the criteria and requirements to secure this benefit.
Available Places: What Is the Best Option for You?
With a total offer of 4,665 places, IFMG has distributed 3,334 places among 68 integrated technical courses and subsequent courses and 1,330 places for 54 undergraduate courses. This is your chance to choose the course that aligns best with your professional goals.
For those who have completed or are about to complete elementary school, the integrated technical courses are an excellent option. They combine high school with technical training, providing students with professional qualification while completing their basic education.
The subsequent technical courses are ideal for those who already have completed high school and seek technical training focused on the job market. These courses allow students to acquire specific skills, essential for their field of work.
Selection Process: Options and Rankings
During the selection process, candidates can choose up to three course options. However, it is important to be aware of the ranking rules:
- Ranking in the 1st Option: if you are classified within the number of vacancies for your first option, you will automatically be excluded from the lists of the other options.
- Ranking in the 2nd Option: if you are not classified in the first option but have enough points for the second, you will occupy that spot and be excluded from the other lists.
- Ranking in the 3rd Option: if you do not get a spot in the first two options but are classified in the third, that will be the spot you occupy.
- Exceedance in All Options: if you are not classified in any of the three options, you can still compete for excess vacancies in your first choice.
Attention to the Rules: Withdrawal Is Not an Option
During the selection process of the Federal Institute, candidates will not be allowed to forfeit the spot for which they were called, even if they are on the waiting list for other options. Therefore, it is essential that those interested read the notices carefully to understand the calling rules and ranking criteria.
