IF Offers 1,760 Places in Technical Courses Integrated with High School. The Selection Includes 11 Options for Free Courses, Each With a Duration of Three Years
For those who wish to combine high school education with a technical qualification aimed at the job market in 2025, the Federal Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul (IFMS) opened registrations for its free integrated technical courses. In total, 1,760 places are available in ten municipalities housing IFMS campuses: Aquidauana, Campo Grande, Corumbá, Coxim, Dourados, Jardim, Naviraí, Nova Andradina, Ponta Porã, and Três Lagoas. Classes will begin in the first semester of 2025.
The announcement includes 11 integrated technical courses, all with a duration of three years. The options include: Administration, Agriculture, Livestock Farming, Food, Systems Development, Buildings, Electrotechnics, IT, Internet IT, Mechanics, and Metallurgy.
Who Can Apply for the Free Technical Courses?
To apply, the candidate must have completed the 9th grade of elementary school by the date of enrollment, scheduled for January 2025. It is also necessary for the candidate to have a Cadastro de Pessoa Física (CPF) in their name.

Half of the available places are reserved for students who completed all of their elementary education in public schools. These places are divided between candidates with a per capita family income lower than a minimum wage and those with any income level. Within these groups, there are also reserved spots for black, brown, indigenous, quilombolas, and disabled individuals. All candidates will be ranked based on their exam scores, which will determine the final selection order.
Test
The exam will take place on October 20 in all the cities where IFMS has campuses, with a duration of four hours. The test will consist of 30 multiple-choice questions, with 10 in Portuguese, 10 in Mathematics, and 10 in General Knowledge.

On the day of the test, candidates must present an official photo ID, as well as a blue or black pen with a transparent tube, a pencil, and an eraser. Small snacks and transparent, unmarked water bottles will also be allowed.
Registration
To register for the IFMS free integrated technical courses, candidates must access the official website of the institution, fill out the registration form, and pay the fee of R$ 20 by September 27, using the options available through PagTesouro, such as Pix, credit card, or bank slip. It is important for candidates to pay attention to the requirements, such as having completed the 9th grade of elementary school and needing to have their own CPF. After registration, it will be necessary to follow the next steps of the selection process and the test date.
