The Opportunity You Dreamed Of Has Arrived! Federal University Opens Edict with Dozens of Vacancies in Free Undergraduate Courses in Education with a Monthly Scholarship of R$ 700
The Federal University of Roraima (UFRR) announced the opening of registrations for free undergraduate courses through the Parfor Equity Program. Aimed at supporting teachers working in basic education in indigenous schools, the edict offers a unique training opportunity. There are 130 slots distributed across two degree programs, aimed at strengthening intercultural education in the region.
The Edict opens 130 completely free vacancies with a scholarship of R$ 700 for the courses of First License in Indigenous Intercultural Education and License in Inclusive Special Education, all for entry in the second semester of 2024. The Parfor Equity Program from UFRR is primarily intended for teachers in active service in the public basic education system of indigenous schools.
Free Courses and Offered Vacancies
In total, there are 130 seats distributed across different municipalities in Roraima, aiming to meet local demand. Below is the complete list of free courses and vacancies:

100% Free Online Mechanics Course with a R$ 1,400 Scholarship at the Federal Institute: In partnership with XCMG, IF calls for those interested in a technical course that includes a signed employment contract under an apprenticeship regime.

Petrobras will pay for you to take a course: in partnership with Senai, there are 2,000 free spots with assistance of up to R$ 858 per month and a certificate recognized by the MEC in industrial areas with high demand in Brazil until 2026.
Degree in Indigenous Intercultural Education:
- Normandia: 33 vacancies
- Pacaraima: 34 vacancies
- Uiramutã: 33 vacancies
- Degree in Inclusive Intercultural Special Education:
- Boa Vista: 30 vacancies
In addition to vacancies for open competition, up to 10% of the vacancies in the free courses are reserved for people with disabilities (PcD). In Pacaraima, there is a special reserve of 4 vacancies for the Warao people, migrants from Venezuela, highlighting UFRR’s commitment to inclusion and diversity.
According to the Edict, Indigenous Peoples or those belonging to the Target Audience of Special Education, regularly enrolled in free courses, will be entitled to a monthly quota of R$ 700.00 during the duration of the course, through the Capes Scholarship.
Who Can Participate?
To participate in the selection process and compete for one of the vacancies in the free courses, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Have a certificate of completion of High School.
- Present proof of ethnic belonging and teaching activity in indigenous schools.
- Have an updated curriculum in the Freire Platform of Basic Education.
- Provide personal data, email, and phone number in the UFRR registration system.
Priority will be given to teachers in active service in the public basic education system, people who have completed High School, and Indigenous Peoples. This focus reinforces the importance of intercultural and inclusive education in training new professionals.
Selection Process
The registration period will be from July 22 to July 29, 2024. Registrations must be made online, with support available at the municipal education departments of Pacaraima, Normandia, and Uiramutã, for those facing difficulties accessing the internet. Candidates need to submit documents in PDF format, including the certificate of completion of High School, declaration of teaching activity, and proof of residence, among others.
The selection process is simplified and consists of document analysis. The final classification will be based on criteria such as teaching experience and participation in training courses. The preliminary result will be announced on August 1, 2024, with appeals possible until August 2. The final result will be published on August 5, 2024.
Registration
The registration for selected candidates will take place on August 6 and 7, 2024. At the time of registration, the approved candidates must present additional documents, including a 3×4 photo, recent proof of residence, and declaration of effective teaching activity.
