The Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA) announced the opening of the selection process to create a reserve register of tutors for undergraduate courses in the Distance Education (EAD) modality. O notice offers an excellent opportunity for professionals who wish to work in home office positions, contributing to the academic training of students from different areas.
With the growing demand for distance learning courses, UFMA, through the Directorate of Technologies in Education (DTED), is offering vacancies for tutors in courses such as Administration, Public Administration, Visual Arts, Biology, Computing, Physical Education, Physics, Libras , Portuguese Literature, Mathematics, Pedagogy and Chemistry. Those selected will work at the centers of the Open University of Brazil (UAB) in Maranhão, with Registration open from June 10th to July 10th, 2024.
The selected tutors will be responsible for mediating communication between teachers and students, monitoring student performance, participating in training and correcting activities. In addition, they must be present in meetings and synchronous and asynchronous activities, promoting a collaborative and effective learning environment.

Who can participate
Interested candidates must meet specific requirements, such as having at least one year's experience in teaching and a minimum degree in the area of the desired course. Furthermore, it is essential to have 20 hours of availability per week and access to technological resources to perform the duties of a tutor.
Benefits
The scholarships offered to EAD tutors are worth R$ 1.100,00 per month, paid directly by CAPES. It is important to highlight that these scholarships do not constitute an employment relationship with UFMA, being an incentive for participation in the UAB program.

Selection process and enrollment
