Meet The Largest Pickup Truck In The World That Requires A Class C License. RAM 3500 LongHorn LARGE AND LUXURIOUS PICKUP TOWS UP TO 9 TONS!
The RAM 3500 was launched in March 2022 requiring a Class C license and follows truck regulations, as it is the largest pickup truck in the world. The RAM 3500 Longhorn costs over half a million reais, offers slightly more capacity compared to the 2,500 and is a real hassle to use in big cities.
The Largest Pickup Truck In The World Measures 6.07 Meters In Length
To distinguish the RAM 3500 Longhorn from the 2500 it is based on, the only item that reveals the 3500 is the cabin lights above the windshield in the higher-end versions, just like the style that the USA, the largest consumer of large trucks in the world, prefers. In terms of dimensions, the largest pickup truck in the world measures 6.07 meters in length, 2.12 meters in width, 2.04 meters in height, and has a wheelbase of 3.78 meters.
While the 2500 has a payload capacity of 1,088 kg and a towing capacity of 7,861 kg, the RAM 3500 Longhorn comes with a capacity to carry up to 1,752 kg of cargo and tow up to 9,021 kg on the trailer. The new model carries more due to reinforcements in the frame and more resistant rear springs.

The largest pickup truck in the world uses rigid axles in the front and rear, which are more durable and provide greater articulation off-road. To support the weight, the rear springs are semi-elliptical, just like in a real truck.
The RAM 3500 Longhorn’s emphasis on towing is so pronounced that it comes with standard features such as mirrors that extend with dual lenses, a trailer brake controller, and multiple cameras that assist when hooking up the trailer.
RAM 3500 Longhorn Delivers An Impressive 117.3 Kgfm Of Torque
Under the hood of the largest pickup truck in the world is the same Cummins 6.7 (6,690 cm³) turbo diesel engine found in the 2,500, which has a 6-cylinder inline configuration. In the larger model, however, it delivers 377 horsepower at 2,800 rpm and 117.3 kgfm of torque at 1,700 rpm. If the numbers seem like they were taken from a truck, it’s because, in fact, they are: the engine belongs to the same family of Cummins ISB used by trucks like the DAF CF 7 liters.

The focus on capacity is evident in features such as engine brake intensity selector, something common in trucks to assist in braking while wearing out the brakes less. It is worth noting that the largest pickup truck in the world was the best-selling model of the brand in 2022. The company registered 5,053 vehicles at that time, with 2,204 units being the largest and most expensive model from RAM.
Luxury, Overwhelming Performance, And Plenty Of Technology
Standard, the Longhorn version comes with a 12-inch vertical touchscreen multimedia center, auto-dimming interior rearview mirror, active noise cancellation, natural leather front seats with heating and ventilation, heated rear side seats, modular center console, chrome towing hooks, exclusive chrome grille, uniquely designed wheels, and wood finishes on the steering wheel, doors, dashboard, and center console.
In terms of safety and usability, it also features a camera system with 360-degree view, bed camera, electronic trailer brake control, automatic high beam switch, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, Matrix LED headlights, forward collision warning with autonomous emergency braking, and lane-keeping assist system.
