Casio Presents In Japan The New Generation Of G-Shock GA-B010 Watches Equipped With Solar Power Technology, Bluetooth Connection, And Reinforced Bioplastic Structure.
Casio announced, in Japan, the start of the pre-sale of the new collection of watches G-Shock GA-B010, which will hit the market in November 2025. The Japanese brand reaffirms its commitment to innovation and sustainability by integrating solar power technology into its new models.
The line will be launched with three distinct versions: GA-B010-1AJF (black), GA-B010-1A1JF (black with darkened dial), and GA-B010-3AJF (olive green), with a suggested price of ¥27,500 — about R$ 957.
Solar Power And Energy Efficiency: The Highlights Of The New Generation
The highlight of the G-Shock GA-B010 is the Tough Solar system, capable of powering the watch through solar light. This innovation allows for greater autonomy and reduces the need for battery changes, reinforcing the ecological appeal of the collection.

Solar panels at sea can generate up to 12% more energy than land-based plants, study finds: Researchers from Taiwan discovered that offshore solar panels take advantage of the natural cooling of water to increase electrical efficiency, reduce heat losses, and expand renewable energy production in regions with limited available land space.

The era of solar panels attached to roofs is beginning to change with transparent glass that generates energy while keeping the view unobstructed, and perovskite photovoltaic windows already tested in offices in Japan promise to transform entire facades into invisible power plants without blocking light or altering the appearance of buildings.
-
The era of silicon alone in solar energy comes to an end with the arrival of perovskite, a material that captures a broader light spectrum, is applied as a thin film, and, together with silicon, reaches a theoretical limit of 45% efficiency in tandem modules.

Fernando de Noronha begins unprecedented energy transformation with a R$ 350 million solar plant that promises to replace diesel generation and change the island’s sustainable future by 2027.
In addition, the model features a new LSI module with an optimized algorithm that reduces energy consumption by up to 40% during step tracking — an advancement over the previous model, the GBA-800.
The watch monitors the number of daily steps, shows progress towards the goal, and sends alerts when the user has been inactive for too long. All data can be synced via Bluetooth, through the Casio Watches app, which enhances the tracking and analysis functions.
Robust Design And Sustainable Materials Mark The G-Shock GA-B010
Casio retained the classic identity of the G-Shock line, but enhanced the design with carbon fiber reinforced structure and use of bioplastic, within the Carbon Core Guard technology.
Weighing 57 g and measuring 52.3 × 49.3 × 15.2 mm, the watch offers water resistance up to 20 ATM, ensuring durability even in extreme conditions. The inorganic glass protects the analog-digital display, which includes dual LED illumination for easy reading in dark environments.
The model also features world time for 55 cities, stopwatch, timer, five daily alarms, and the “Find My Phone” function, as well as automatic time adjustment. The energy-saving mode ensures up to five months of autonomy without solar exposure and up to 26 months in low consumption mode.
According to Casio, the GA-B010 line represents another step towards a cleaner and smarter product portfolio. The company bets on solar energy storage as a sustainable and efficient alternative, aligned with global demands for low environmental impact technologies.
The G-Shock GA-B010 thus consolidates itself as a symbol of Casio’s evolution — uniting solar energy, connectivity, and durable design in a watch that reflects the balance between tradition and technological innovation.
