The new generation of the Clio is expected to have slightly different dimensions, possibly longer and lower, following the visual pattern of Renault’s latest releases. The inspiration from the Mégane E-Tech and the Emblème concept suggests bold lines, with narrower headlights, a hexagonal grille, and a more aggressive front bumper.

Mechanically, the new generation of the Clio will feature gasoline TCe engines accompanied by hybrid systems, delivering powers between 115 and 140 hp. A more powerful hybrid, at 160 hp, is expected to leverage the powertrain from the Dacia Bigster, while diesel options will be excluded.
Renault bets on this strategy after analyzing Clio sales, which totaled 178,902 units in Europe in 2023, a 9% increase compared to the previous year. This consistency in the market motivated the manufacturer to invest in the hatch again, rather than fully transitioning to an electric model.

Renault’s decision follows the trend of other brands, such as Volkswagen, which also chose to keep the Polo alive for longer before risking a complete transition to electric models.
