Retirees, pensioners, and INSS policyholders receive in May the monthly amount along with the second installment of the anticipated 13th salary, with consultation available on Meu INSS and alert against scams by false messages
Millions of retirees and pensioners will have a higher amount in their account between May 25 and June 8, when the INSS pays the second installment of the INSS 13th along with the monthly benefit.
Second installment enters the calendar
The anticipation of the INSS 13th was repeated by the federal government in 2026 and effectively created a kind of double payment for Social Security policyholders.
The first installment of the annual bonus was deposited between April 24 and May 8. Now, the second part begins to fall on the official calendar, according to each beneficiary’s date.

The money will be received along with the monthly retirement or pension. Therefore, retirees, pensioners, and social security policyholders should notice a larger credit in May.
Who is entitled to the extra payment
The additional amount is intended for beneficiaries receiving retirements, pensions, and other benefits.
In general, the second installment corresponds to the remaining 50% of the annual bonus. However, the amount may be lower for those subject to Income Tax deductions.
The anticipation has been used by the government in recent years to stimulate the economy and help the budget of millions of families dependent on this income.
Consultation can be done via Meu INSS
Policyholders can check the updated statement via the Meu INSS app or website. Access requires CPF and password registered on Gov.br.
After logging in, you need to select “Payment Statement”. In this area, the beneficiary checks expected amounts, deposit dates, and applied deductions.
The consultation helps retirees and pensioners confirm the credit of the second installment of the INSS 13th and better organize their finances.
Government reinforces alert against scams
With the anticipation, the government also expanded the alert about fraud against retirees. Official information began to be disclosed through the verified channel on WhatsApp, identified with an authentication seal.
The aim is to reduce scams with false messages used to steal personal data. The INSS emphasizes that it does not request CPF, address, bank password, or sensitive data via messaging app.
Money arrives amid tightness
The extra payment occurs at a time of budget pressure for many Brazilian retirees, due to the increased cost of living.
For some beneficiaries, the second installment represents financial relief. The money can be used to pay off debts, settle bills, or get through the month with less strain.
