Ford, one of the most renowned automakers in the world, is ready to surprise again. Known for its successful vehicles in various markets, the brand now plans to resurrect one of its popular cars after several years. This new model promises to compete strongly with Chevrolet vehicles, generating great excitement among the media and drivers. The expectation is that this launch will further boost sales and reinforce Ford’s position in the automotive market.
New Ford Ecosport 2025 Would Be Leaving Chevrolet Worried?
Despite closing its factories in the Brazilian market in 2021, the American brand remains very beloved among Brazilian drivers. So much so that drivers have created high expectations for the return of a popular Ford car. Firstly, the car was discontinued in Brazil with the factory closures in 2021.
Subsequently, it ended up being discontinued in other parts of the world. However, everything indicates that Ford’s new car, a pioneer among compact SUVs, will make its comeback in the market.

According to information from the Spanish website Motor.es, the Ford Ecosport, which revolutionized the industry in the 2000s, is preparing for a new phase, now as a global product with larger dimensions and the mission to challenge the Renault Duster and Chevrolet SUVs in Brazil.
It seems that the return of Ford’s new car is scheduled for early 2025. This time, the popular compact Ford car will feature an updated design and a multi-energy platform that will allow for gasoline versions with a 1.0 EcoBoost three-cylinder turbo engine and fully electric versions.
New Ford Car Will Be Made on the Same Platform as the Puma
The idea is for the SUV to position itself as the entry-level model for the North American brand in various markets. The focus will be on Europe, but it may also be offered in the U.S. to compete with the Hyundai Venue and other entry-level SUVs that may emerge there. Ford’s new car will be built on the same platform as the Puma, meaning the Fiesta’s base remains intact.
In fact, it may serve as an indirect replacement for the Fiesta, which bid farewell to the world in 2023. While the Puma has a sportier and more urban style, almost like a Honda HR-V, the popular Ford car will return to its roots.
The new Ford Ecosport 2025 was developed in Brazil just like the first and second generations. It will have a very straight and marked hood, a muscular body, and a more robust look than the Puma.
New Ford Car Will Be Produced in Spain
Unlike previous generations of Ford’s popular car, the previous model’s spare tire hanging from the trunk lid will not be used again for safety reasons. In front, the design is characterized by headlights divided by an oval grille, with a look strongly inspired by the Territory.
According to the report from the Spanish website, Ford’s new car that will end Chevrolet’s sales will be made in the city of Valencia, Spain, starting next year. The platform used is of the multi-energy type, which will allow for an electric variant.
However, the SUV’s focus will be on utilizing the 1.0 EcoBoost three-cylinder turbo engine that has never been offered in the Brazilian market, except in the Fiesta for a short period of time. Another theory is that the new Ford Ecosport 2025 will have different types of drivetrains, ranging from solely combustion options, hybrid, and even electric.
