The company stands out with smart factory and automated systems, driven by 5G technology.
Ronma Solar, one of the leading manufacturers in the solar energy sector, achieved a significant milestone by winning the first prize in the special competition “5G+ Advanced Manufacturing,” held as part of the 7th edition of the 5G application contest “2024 Innovation Flower.” Organized by the Chinese Academy of Telecommunications and the Chinese Telecommunications Standardization Association, the event took place recently in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, and featured the participation of 80 competitors.
The winning project, titled “5G Wings, Driving ‘Ronma Speed’,” was developed in partnership with China Mobile Zhejiang and China Mobile Shanghai. The highlight of the project was the creation of a smart and flexible factory, entirely based on 5G technology, with smart storage systems and automation. This combination of innovation and efficiency impressed the judges and the audience, solidifying the company’s victory.

Industrial Revolution with 5G
With the theme “5G Opens a New Chapter, Smart Innovation Designs a New Quality,” the competition aimed to promote the transition of 5G application from supply to demand, driving the digital transformation of key industries. The Ronma Solar project exemplifies this change by demonstrating how 5G can be applied to create an agile and automated factory, yielding impressive results in operational efficiency and quality control.
During a visit to the company’s smart factory on September 12, a reporter was able to recount how 5G transformed the industrial environment. The equipment and processes are fully connected, with hundreds of automated guided vehicles (AGV) operating under remote monitoring.
Chen Yipeng, a company representative, highlighted that the factory’s production, with a capacity of 3 GW in photovoltaic modules and 8 GW in batteries, is running at full speed, with orders secured until the end of the year and expectations of revenue exceeding 10 billion yuan.
Innovation and Efficiency
The system implemented by Ronma Solar, with the support of Jinhua Mobile, enables real-time monitoring of production data, optimizing quality control and preventive maintenance. This system, which integrates the physical world with the digital, offers complete automation of production processes, as well as issuing alerts in case of failures, allowing for more efficient management.
Since implementing 5G in October of last year, the company has recorded a 5% increase in production line efficiency and a 30% reduction in maintenance costs over the equipment lifecycle. This success is the result of the combination of automation and digital management enabled by 5G, which allowed the company to achieve 100% digitalization in its production equipment.
Promising Future with 5G
The recognition of Ronma Solar as the winner of the “5G+ Advanced Manufacturing” competition reflects its commitment to innovation and digitalization. The company, which is already a prominent industrial project in Zhejiang Province, continues to invest in research, production, and sales of solar cells and photovoltaic modules, in addition to exploring new opportunities with the establishment of solar power plants.
The smart factory is a clear example of how industrial internet is transforming manufacturing, not just in the energy sector, but in other areas such as consumer goods and equipment.
With the support of 5G technology, companies are accelerating digital transformation, improving efficiency, quality, and traceability of their products, and boosting global competitiveness.
As the potential of 5G is explored, projects like Ronma Solar’s will serve as a reference for the digitalization of other sectors, promoting innovative industries to elevate the intelligence level of businesses.

Parabéns!
Um grande marco realmente!
