Applications Are Open Until March 3 and Target Students Expected to Graduate Between 2027 and 2028, with Benefits and Opportunities at the Largest Railway Operator in the Country.

Rumo, recognized as the largest private freight railway operator in Brazil, announced on February 10 the launch of the Internship Program 2026.1.

Additionally, opportunities are available in Araraquara (SP), Indaiatuba (SP), São Paulo (SP), Primavera do Leste (MT), Rondonópolis (MT), and Rio Verde (GO).

According to institutional information released by the company itself, applications are open until March 3, 2026, with activities expected to start on April 16, 2026.

Scholarship and Benefits Offered

First, the scholarship ranges from R$ 1,750 to R$ 1,950, depending on the year of course completion.

Furthermore, the package includes a meal voucher or food allowance of R$ 1,200 monthly, as well as medical and dental assistance.

Additionally, pharmacy assistance, life insurance, and psychosocial support are also offered.

Interns will also have access to Wellhub, a corporate platform focused on physical and mental well-being.

Who Can Participate in the Selection Process

According to the disclosed regulations, students in bachelor’s, teaching, or technology programs expected to graduate between June 2027 and June 2028 can apply.

The working hours will be 6 hours daily, as detailed in the official schedule.

During the selection process, in addition to technical knowledge, behavioral competencies will also be evaluated.

Among them, learning agility, adaptability, clear communication, and commitment to results stand out.

According to Débora Bizerra, Recruitment and Employer Brand Manager at Rumo, the program is strategic in nature.

As the executive stated, the internship acts as a career accelerator, as it provides practical immersion in the railway sector.

Moreover, the goal is to transform academic potential into technical competence, especially in a continuously evolving infrastructure.

Profile and Operations of Rumo in Brazil

Currently, Rumo manages about 14,000 kilometers of railway network, spread across states such as Paraná, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo, Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Goiás, and Tocantins.

Additionally, its operational base includes 1,200 locomotives and approximately 33,000 wagons, according to corporate data from 2024.

The company also has 10 transshipment terminals along the network and 6 port terminals in the country’s main ports.

In total, more than 8,000 employees work in its logistics operations.

Acknowledgment in Sustainability

In 2024, for the second consecutive year, Rumo was the only Brazilian company in the logistics sector to be included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, according to an institutional announcement released that year.

Furthermore, the company is also part of the ISE B3, an index that recognizes companies with consistent sustainability practices in the Brazilian market.

Finally, interested parties should register by March 3, 2026, following the guidelines of the selection process released by the company.
