Rumors about Elon Musk launching a smartphone first surfaced in 2022, when he mentioned the possibility if Twitter was censored by app stores. Since then, no official confirmation has been made by Tesla or Musk himself.

Elon Musk: Facts about Tesla's supposed revolutionary smartphone with satellite internet

If you've heard that Elon Musk and Tesla are about to launch a revolutionary smartphone, you're not alone. Rumors about the so-called Tesla Phone Model Pi have taken over social media again, raising doubts and expectations about the tech giant's entry into this market. But is this story true? E-Farsas did some research and revealed the truth.

What is the Tesla Phone Model Pi?

Elon Musk denied in 2022 that he was developing a smartphone for Tesla, saying he would only consider it if apps like Twitter were censored by Apple and Google stores. He also reinforced that there are no plans to compete with technology giants in this market.
Elon Musk denied in 2022 that he was developing a smartphone for Tesla, saying he would only consider it if apps like Twitter were censored by Apple and Google stores. He also reinforced that there are no plans to compete with technology giants in this market.

The Tesla Phone Model Pi would, according to rumors, be a smartphone with features far beyond what we are used to. The promises include:

Starlink satellite internet, eliminating the need for phone plans;

A futuristic, unbreakable and waterproof design;

Connection anywhere in the world, even in remote areas.

It sounds like a fantastic idea from Elon Musk, doesn't it? After all, who wouldn't want a cell phone that doesn't need a carrier signal? However, so far, all of this is nothing more than speculation.

Where did the rumor come from?

This isn't the first time we've heard about Tesla's rumored smartphone. Since 2022, Elon Musk's name has been associated with disruptive technology projects, which always fuels the imagination of fans and curious people. However, the rumors gained momentum in early December 2024, when social media posts began claiming that the launch of the Tesla Phone was imminent.

It is worth remembering that Elon Musk has already denied the rumors several times. In a post on Twitter, he made it clear that he would only consider entering the smartphone market if apps like Twitter were removed from the Apple and Google app stores, which did not happen.

What has Elon Musk said about smartphones?

In interviews, Musk has always made it clear that creating a smartphone is not in his or Tesla's plans. During an appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast in November 2022, he stated that he would only consider entering this market if big tech companies adopted extreme censorship measures against users.

There is no official post on Tesla's blog or elsewhere. reliable channels that confirm the development of a device like Elon Musk's Tesla Phone Model Pi. Even Starlink, which provides satellite internet, has no confirmed partnership for such a project.

Why isn't Tesla releasing a smartphone?

There are strategic reasons for the lack of plans for a Tesla smartphone. The brand is highly focused on electric vehicles, renewable energy and advances in artificial intelligence, areas in which it already leads the market. Entering the competitive smartphone market would require massive investment and a new line of expertise, which could divert focus from its current priorities.

Elon Musk is known for his hands-on approach: he doesnโ€™t enter markets out of curiosity. Without a real need or market gap to fill, it doesnโ€™t make strategic sense for Tesla to invest in a smartphone right now.

While the idea of โ€‹โ€‹a Tesla smartphone is fascinating, there is no evidence that Elon Musk or Tesla are developing something like that. So far, everything is just a rumor, amplified by the fascination that Musk awakens in the public.

The biggest news of the year and the world, there are no rumors of war, earthquakes or volcanoes, it's Elon Munsk's cell phone and that's it. Long live Elon Munsk, holy Elon. And go to hell, alive, hi, etc.

Wrong information!
Tesla has already said it wanted to enter an already saturated business
