Pavel Durov Says He Has More Than 100 Children And Assures That They Will Inherit Equally His Fortune Of Almost R$ 76 Billion
The founder of Telegram, Pavel Durov, revealed that more than 100 children will inherit his fortune, estimated at US$ 13.9 billion (around R$ 76 billion). The information was given to the French magazine Le Point in an interview published recently.
According to Durov, he is “officially a father” of six children, with three different women. However, he stated that the actual number of children exceeds 100, all conceived through sperm donations made by him over the past fifteen years.
“They are all my children and they will all have the same rights! I don’t want them to separate after my death,” he declared.

The Russian billionaire explained that the donations started to help a friend, and the clinic in charge informed him that the babies were born in twelve different countries. Nevertheless, the heirs will not have immediate access to the money.
According to him, the wealth will be locked up for three decades. The justification is that he wants his children to grow up as ordinary people.
“I want them to live like normal people, develop on their own, learn to trust themselves, be capable of creating, and not rely on a bank account,” he said.
Durov, who is 40 years old, stated that he has already made a will. The reason, as he told the magazine, is linked to his professional activity: “Defending freedoms generates many enemies, including in powerful states.”
Telegram, the app he created, is known for its focus on privacy and encrypted messages. Today, it surpasses the mark of one billion active users per month.
In Brazil, the platform has been suspended twice by Supreme Court Minister Alexandre de Moraes.
The first suspension occurred in 2022, after the company failed to indicate a legal representative and did not remove channels with confidential information.
The second, in 2023, happened after partial noncompliance with a court order to provide data from extremist groups.
