Requirements for the Pipeline Integrity Engineer Position at Samarco

To apply for the position, a completed degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related fields is required.

The company considers a postgraduate degree in Pipeline Integrity a differentiating factor. Proven experience in pipeline integrity and previous work with pipelines and/or gas pipelines is essential.

Technical knowledge includes expertise in fluid mechanics and hydraulics, as well as familiarity with specific integrity and document management software for pipelines.

Another fundamental requirement is the availability to work on-site at Samarco’s unit located in Mariana (MG).

Main Responsibilities of the Position

The Pipeline Integrity Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that Samarco’s pipelines operate safely and efficiently, monitoring the structural integrity of the systems throughout their lifespan.

The professional will analyze data generated by pipeline inspection tools, providing technical support for risk management and strategic decision-making.

Additionally, the role involves leading internal projects, managing costs, resources, and schedules according to the methodologies established by the company.

The position requires analytical thinking, communication skills, and commitment to operational safety and results.
