Samsung presents this Wednesday (15) the Galaxy A57 and the Galaxy A37, two mid-range devices with artificial intelligence from the high-end, including voice transcription, AI-enhanced camera, and integration with Google’s Gemini, in a bet that brings premium technology to those seeking a more affordable phone.
Samsung kicked off a new chapter in its mid-range smartphone line this Wednesday (15) by revealing the Galaxy A57 and the Galaxy A37. Both devices bring artificial intelligence features that until now were exclusive to the manufacturer’s more expensive smartphones. The list of new features includes automatic conversion of voice calls to text, reading of messages saved in the voicemail, and a camera with smart tools for capturing and retouching images. The selling prices will be revealed by Samsung during an event in São Paulo on Wednesday morning.
Samsung’s goal is to make artificial intelligence part of the daily lives of those who do not want to pay the price of a high-end device. Tools like Circle to Search and access to the Gemini assistant, created by Google, are now part of the experience offered by these two mid-range devices. In practice, those who choose a phone based on cost-benefit ratio now have the same AI features that were previously reserved for the premium range.
Galaxy A57: thinner body and camera with exclusive features

Among Samsung’s two launches, the Galaxy A57 takes the position of the most complete model. It features the Best Face tool, which examines a series of group shots and automatically selects the best smile from each face.

Another exclusive feature is Auto Trim, a tool that makes it easier to cut and organize video clips without needing external apps.
In the design of the device, Samsung worked to deliver a slimmer body. The thickness is 6.9 millimeters, a reduction of half a millimeter compared to the previous model, and the weight has dropped to 179 grams, 19 grams less than its predecessor.
The appearance follows the visual language that Samsung introduced in the Galaxy S26 line, revealed in February, giving the mid-range device a premium smartphone feel. The finish options come in four shades: blue, gray, lilac, and a lighter blue version.
Specifications of the Galaxy A57: AMOLED screen and 4-nanometer chip
The Galaxy A57 is equipped with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ display, Full HD+ resolution, and a 120 Hz refresh rate.
The chip that powers everything is the Samsung Exynos 1680, produced using a 4-nanometer process, with configurations of 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and internal storage ranging from 128 GB to 512 GB.
The rear camera combines three sensors: the main one with 50 megapixels (f/1.8 aperture), an ultrawide lens of 12 megapixels (f/2.2 with a 13 mm field of view), and a macro camera of 5 megapixels (f/2.4).
On the front, the camera is 12 megapixels, and the battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh with support for 45-watt fast charging. With this setup, Samsung’s Galaxy A57 positions itself as a mid-range device capable of delivering hardware close to that found in higher-end devices.
Galaxy A37: Samsung’s artificial intelligence in a more affordable version

The Galaxy A37 serves as the entry point for those who want to experience Samsung’s artificial intelligence without stretching their budget too much.
The device shares with the A57 the call-to-text conversion, voicemail reading, Circle to Search, and the Gemini assistant. What differentiates the two models are specific adjustments in the finish and hardware configuration.
The Galaxy A37 features a Super AMOLED (without the “+”) panel of 6.7 inches, also with Full HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The processor is the Samsung Exynos 1488, also manufactured in 4 nanometers, with variants of 6 GB, 8 GB, or 12 GB of RAM and storage of 128 GB or 256 GB. The rear camera features a main sensor of 50 megapixels (f/1.8), ultrawide of 8 megapixels (f/2.2, 16 mm field of view), and macro of 5 megapixels (f/2.4).
On the front, the sensor repeats the 12 megapixels, and the battery maintains the same 5,000 mAh with 45-watt charging. The body measures 162.9 x 78.2 x 7.4 millimeters, weighs 196 grams, and will be available in lavender, white, charcoal, and a grayish-green shade.
What Samsung gains by bringing AI to mid-range devices
Expanding the reach of artificial intelligence beyond flagships is not just a product choice. Samsung is increasing the number of people who use its AI services daily, which strengthens the entire brand ecosystem.
The more people use voice transcription, smart camera editing, and visual search, the more information the company gathers to enhance these same features in the future.
For buyers, the gain is direct. Features that just a few months ago required a Samsung Galaxy S26 can now be found in the Galaxy A57 or Galaxy A37 for a fraction of the cost.
The price gap between the ranges is usually considerable, and the presence of artificial intelligence in the mid-range changes the value calculation that consumers make when switching phones.
And you, do you think Samsung made the right choice by delivering artificial intelligence in the mid-range, or do you prefer these features to remain an exclusive advantage of the high-end models? Leave your opinion in the comments.
