During an Extraordinary Session held on May 8, Santos FC presented new advances in the project for its future multipurpose arena, with construction scheduled to begin in 2025. The club confirmed changes to the business model and guarantees to current seat holders.
New arena project is a strategic step for Santos FC
The Santos FC board took another significant step towards modernization from his home. At an extraordinary meeting of the Deliberative Council, held on May 8, the Management Committee and representatives of the company WTorre, responsible for the construction, presented the current stage of the project for the new arena. With a planned capacity for 30 thousand people, the structure will have covered seats and different accommodation sectors, including stands, chairs and boxes. Financing will be made possible through the pre-sale of properties, as reported on the club's official website (santosfc.com.br).
Santos FC expects construction to begin in 2025
The new stadium will be built on the site of the current Vila Belmiro, and construction is expected to begin in the second half of 2025. The estimated investment in the project is R$700 million, with a duration of between 36 and 40 months. During the construction period, the board of directors is considering using the Pacaembu Arena, currently named Mercado Livre Arena, to host the team's games. The information was confirmed by the portal Estadão, which also detailed the changes to the business model agreed with WTorre, considered more advantageous for the club.

The adjustments include guarantees for current owners of reserved seats and priority in pre-sale purchases for those who have acquired special seats.
