Recent Deals Strengthen Noble Corporation’s Presence in Offshore Drilling Operations
Noble Corporation, a leader in offshore drilling equipment, has signed contracts with energy giant Shell, based in the United Kingdom, and Brazil’s state-owned oil and gas company Petrobras, for two of its 7th-generation drilling rigs.
Destination: Mauritania and Brazil
Shell has contracted the Noble Voyager drilling rig for the exploration of a deep-water well in Mauritania. Currently, the rig is operating offshore Mexico on behalf of Shell.
The new agreement has an estimated duration of 60 days at an undisclosed daily rate, includes mobilization and demobilization fees, and options to extend the duration for up to 24 additional months. According to Noble, activities are expected to begin shortly after the current contract of the rig with Shell ends.

A New Journey in Brazilian Waters
Additionally, Petrobras awarded a long-term contract to the ultra-deepwater drilling rig Noble Faye Kozack for operations in the BM-S-11 and Tupi fields, offshore Brazil. Currently, the rig operates in the Gulf of Mexico, in the United States.
The contract has a fixed duration of two and a half years, with a start date expected in the fourth quarter of the year. It is valued at approximately $500 million, including a mobilization fee and additional services provided.
Noble Returns to Brazilian Waters
“We are thrilled to have secured this contract, which will mark the return of a Noble drilling rig to Brazilian waters and represents our first collaboration with Petrobras in many years,” said Robert Eifler, President and CEO of Noble Corporation.
“Brazil is one of the most exciting deep-water markets in the world right now, largely due to Petrobras’s ambitious plans to further develop Brazil’s hydrocarbons supply. We look forward to providing safe and efficient operations in this broad scope of long-term work.”
