Simulation Considers Mitsubishi ASX 2016 Valued at R$ 73,000, 48-Month Term, and Buyer with Score of 700, Comparing Down Payments of 30%, 50%, and 70% and Direct Impact on Installment Amounts
A financing simulation details how much the installments of a Mitsubishi ASX 2016 cost, with an estimated market price of R$ 73,000, considering down payments of 30%, 50%, and 70%, a 48-month term, and a buyer profile with a credit score around 700 points.
The study is based on a common scenario in the used car market, using as a reference a consumer with a positive credit history, a factor that directly influences the final financing conditions, especially interest rates and monthly installment amounts.
30% Down Payment Finances R$ 51,000 and Generates Installments of R$ 1,900
In the first scenario analyzed, the down payment was set at 30% of the value of the vehicle, rounded to R$ 22,000. Therefore, the financed amount reached R$ 51,000, spread over 48 months.

While Brazil was left without an affordable 7-seater Honda, Indonesia sells the 2026 BR-V with a 1.5 i-VTEC engine of 121 hp, Honda Sensing, three rows, fuel consumption above 23 km/l, and a range of 987 km; the family SUV costs less than the Spin, Aircross, and Tiggo 8 Pro when converted without taxes.

Hyundai launches a 7-seater ‘Kombi’ cheaper than Chevrolet Spin, Citroën Aircross, and Tiggo 8 Pro in Brazil; for around R$ 78,500 in conversion without taxes, the Hyundai Stargazer Cartenz features a 1.5 engine, manual or IVT transmission, 205 mm ground clearance, and the SmartSense package that Brazilians don’t have yet, but Indonesia does.
In this model, the installments averaged 48 payments of R$ 1,900, representing the highest monthly commitment among the three simulations presented, due to the high financed amount.
With 50% Down Payment, Installment Drops to About R$ 1,350
In the second simulation, the down payment considered was 50% of the vehicle’s price, totaling R$ 36,500 paid initially. The financed balance also remained at R$ 36,500, significantly reducing the monthly impact.
With this amount distributed over 48 installments, the payments averaged around R$ 1,350, showing a significant reduction compared to financing with a lower down payment.
70% Down Payment Reduces Financing to R$ 22,000
In the third and last scenario, the down payment increased to 70% of the value of the ASX 2016, which amounts to R$ 51,000. The financed amount decreased to only R$ 22,000, considered a more favorable level.
Financing this amount over 48 months, the installments averaged 48 payments of R$ 814, highlighting how down payments above 50% provide more balanced conditions, lower monthly costs, and greater financial predictability for the buyer.
