The Suape Port Industrial Complex has begun the implementation of a new factory for SIW Wind Kits, a company responsible for the production of materials for manufacturing wind blades used in renewable energy generation. The company made an investment of R$ 10 million in the project, which will be located in an area of 7.66 hectares in the Industrial Zone of the Complex.
With activities scheduled to start in January 2020, SIW is expected to generate about 70 direct and indirect jobs. In the future, the factory intends to expand production for other NE clients.

“The arrival of SIW Wind Kits consolidates the renewable energy hub in Suape, strengthening the wind equipment supply chain and attracting more local suppliers. We are very happy to contribute to the growth of this energy in the State,” says Luiz Alberto Barros, director of Business Development at the Complex.
SIW Wind Kits will integrate the wind power hub of Suape, also joining the manufacturer belonging to the GE group, LM Wind Power.
Wind Potential of the Northeast
The wind sector is booming in the NE! Executives and entrepreneurs in the field are noticing the potential regarding areas with high wind availability in the states of Bahia, Rio Grande do Norte, Ceará, and Pernambuco.
