The new substation has a capacity of 66 MVA, distributed over 10 13,8 kV feeders, and features GIS technology, that is, a gas-insulated switchboard, which provides greater reliability and practicality in terms of maintenance, and in case of need to act on atypical incidents, making it possible to resolve incidents more quickly, thus reducing the customer's waiting time for full power restoration.
The automation system also eliminates the need for electricians and operators to carry out exercises at the unit, which are carried out by Elektro's Distribution Operations Center (COD) in Campinas directly via satellite communication, thus guaranteeing almost zero maintenance. Thus improving the quality level of energy supply.
