Selection process opens hundreds of positions in Production Engineering by CEDERJ, with participation of federal institutions and high requirement for in-person activities, as well as different rules for using the Enem and taking a traditional exam with essay.
The CEDERJ Entrance Exam 2026/2 opened 440 positions for Production Engineering in a joint offer from CEFET/RJ and UFF, with registrations until May 17 and the exam scheduled for June 14.
Although the course is frequently advertised as distance learning, the announcement establishes a blended format, with a minimum requirement of 60% of in-person activities throughout the degree.
The distribution of opportunities has also been defined.
-
Free courses in São Paulo open 1,000 spots in 50 in-person and online programs.
-

CEFET/RJ is responsible for 200 positions, while UFF offers 240, within the selection process organized by the Cecierj Foundation for the second academic semester of 2026.
The official calendar also sets the final result for July 6 and the initial enrollment for the days 7 and 8 of the same month.
In-person Requirement at CEDERJ: rule changes course dynamics
The most relevant point for those considering applying is the mandatory in-person load.
The announcement states that Production Engineering will have a minimum of 60% in-person attendance, a percentage higher than that required for other blended courses in the consortium.
Of this total, 40% of the workload must occur in in-person activities, and another 20% can be in-person or synchronous mediated.
In practice, this means that the choice of the center cannot be made solely based on the availability of spots.
The document itself warns of the existence of in-person assessments, usually on Saturdays and Sundays, in addition to mandatory activities related to the pedagogical project.
For students at the Belford Roxo center, for example, Chemistry practices will take place in Nova Iguaçu.
Distribution of positions between CEFET and UFF
At CEFET/RJ, the 200 positions for Production Engineering are distributed across 12 regional centers.
There are 50 positions in Belford Roxo, 50 in Campo Grande, 50 in Niterói, and 50 in Nova Iguaçu.
Additionally, the official framework reserves 40 in Duque de Caxias, 40 in Resende, 40 in Rocinha, 30 in Itaperuna, 30 in Piraí, 25 in Miguel Pereira, 25 in Rio das Ostras, and 20 in Mangaratiba.
On the other hand, UFF concentrates its 240 positions in five centers.
The announcement provides for 40 opportunities in Angra dos Reis, 40 in Cantagalo, 60 in Macaé, 40 in Paracambi, and 60 in São Gonçalo.
The internal distribution follows the rules of broad competition and legal reserve of vacancies, with specific percentages for candidates using the Enem score and for affirmative action.
In the case of CEFET/RJ, the vacancy annex states that 12.5% of the total is allocated to the Enem for affirmative action and 30% to the Enem in broad competition.
For UFF, the distribution logic also reserves 12.5% for affirmative action via Enem and 30% for broad competition via Enem.
CEDERJ Exam and Evaluation Criteria
Those opting for selection through the entrance exam will take an objective test with 45 multiple-choice questions and an essay.
The exam will be held on June 14, 2026, and the announcement specifies that, for Production Engineering, the specific subjects are Mathematics and Physics.
The score for the objective part can reach 63 points, while the essay is worth up to 100.
The final score will be calculated using the formula NF = N1 + (N2*0.37).
The official schedule provides for the release of multiple-choice scores on June 24, essay scores on June 30, and the final result on July 6.
There is also the possibility of reclassifications on July 13, 17, and 21.
For those wishing to use the Enem, the rules change according to the chosen institution.
At CEFET/RJ, the annexes of the announcement allow only the editions of 2023, 2024, or 2025 to be used.
At UFF, the range is broader and includes tests from 2015 to 2025, provided that the candidate indicates a single edition and has not scored zero in any of the required areas.
How to Register for the CEDERJ Entrance Exam 2026/2
