After Winning The Electric Car Market, Tesla May Make An Electric Bike With An Intriguing Design And A Body Inspired By The Highly Anticipated Electric Pickup Cybertruck

Tesla is one of the largest companies developing electric cars today, and the most anticipated model from the company is the electric pickup Cybertruck. However, until recently, the chances of the automaker entering the electric motorcycle market were almost null. Nevertheless, it seems that intentions have changed and recently, Ash Thorp, a designer at Tesla, shared images of a prototype electric motorcycle resembling the Cybertruck on his social media.

Electric Motorcycle Inspired By Tesla’s Pickup May Change The Automotive Scene

The Prototype “The Sokudo,” From Tesla, Looks Like An Aluminum Fold. (Disclosure)

Clearly inspired by the Cybertruck, an electric pickup with a design reminiscent of origami folds, the electric motorcycle “The Sokudo” draws attention but shows the designer’s limited familiarity with motorcycles.

The Tesla Sokudo resembles an electric motorcycle being unwrapped from a gift box, which initially appears to be made of aluminum with a carbon fiber finish. Sitting on this electric motorcycle may seem uncomfortable, as if the rider were under a concrete wall, since the seat is made from a rigid platform that appears to be aluminum.

It can be observed on Tesla’s electric motorcycle that the final drive is chain-driven, the wheels are enclosed with carbon fiber, it features a monoshock rear suspension, a large brake disc, inverted forks and semi-handlebars. It becomes evident that Ash Thorp, although not very knowledgeable about motorcycles, displays a lot of creativity.

Cybertruck Is The Most Anticipated Vehicle In The World

Although Tesla is still not familiar with electric motorcycles, it is impossible to deny that the automaker hit the mark with the Cybertruck. The model is the most awaited in the world, yet it has been delayed again due to a shortage of semiconductor chips.

The model has a futuristic design with a body covered in straight panels and strong creases, and will feature various technologies, such as the system similar to that used in Mercedes-Benz’s O500 bus. The system consists of a rear steering axle that responds to the action of the steering wheel, similar to the front axle, but in the opposite direction, aiding in making sharper turns.

In addition to this technology, the electric pickup Cybertruck will include several cameras and sensors from Samsung that will assist with autonomous driving. The vehicle will have rearview, side, front, and rear cameras.

Rivian’s Electric Pickup Will Be The First To Hit The Automotive Market

Despite the Cybertruck being the most awaited, recently Rivian, an Amazon company, launched an electric pickup that rolled off the assembly line and attracted attention.

This is the Rivian R1T, a model that can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 3 seconds and can also tow around 5 tons. The vehicle features 5 seats and a storage capacity of 1,925 liters. The volume of its front trunk, as well as its tunnel volume, is 311 liters, its height is 1,828mm, width is 2,006mm, and length is 5,337mm. The width of the bed is 1,295mm.
